Dad still playing with UK or something else going on. His Instagram today had Brown in a UK uniform on the front of Sport Illustrated. Somebody smarter than me please post the pic.
Would it be fair to say Greg is “Brown” nosing UK?They KEEP sending these out. We keep saying we know it's not true.
If he is coming here, no one's been this obvious ever. None of these kids want to ruin the decision. He wants us to watch to build his brand.
If it’s fake, he faked off Kentucky Men’s Basketball and John Calipari, who are followers.I think that is a fake Instagram account. It’s probably a rival fan trying to mess with bbn
Probably just trying to build hype.
Novice fans, they aren’t like us...While I agree, I'm not sure what kind of hype he is going to build. It seems most UK fans have given up on this, and thus there wont be much hype to build.
On the other hand, what better way to keep your decision secretive than to make it obvious. I could actually see someone doing what appears to be trolling while actually not trolling at all, but actually being very up front and tipping his hand to the decision.
But hes not likely coming to UK.
“Looking for likes in all the wrong places, looking for likes in too many faces...”He ain’t picking Kentucky. Looking for likes.
Yep, boost Xs brand. Great point Cawood.I dont even consider for a minute UK is remotely an option for this kid. It's just someone trying to generate interest and make it look program X got him over a program like UK.
no it’s his dad greg put a post on his storyI think that is a fake Instagram account. It’s probably a rival fan trying to mess with bbn
It's a shame he's taking the cuck route. He would have made a nice piece to the roster next year.
I agree... But I mean, look at Edwards. He will be the #1 pick. With a net worth of $50 million + guaranteed in about 2 months. They don’t care about 8 months in college. It’s a pit stop for them.
What Cal says is whatever sounds good at THAT MOMENT. It holds no weight.Hat on the table.......so much for Cal saying we wouldn’t be anymore. Build that brand dad........
It's not strange anymore when everyone keeps saying it's strange. There may be a million scenarios, but there is a pattern. All true, but it is bizarre. It's like if a talented young writer had a choice between going to an 8 month writing school with other literary phenoms and accomplished authors before getting his/her first publication; or, alternatively, going to a writing school where no one has ever been published and where the 8 months end up minimizing their actual ability to better learn the craft (not to mention, a smaller avenue of future marketing opportunities). It ends up being a waste of their time on a structurally useful level.
It's strange because developing and honing their craft matters at every point of their career except for that 8 month window where they're at the greatest crossroads of development? Do they even care if they win? If not, what is the thing that drives them? Is it all about just "getting an NBA career?" Are we at that point where we're paying millions of dollars to a majority of players who fundamentally don't care if they win or lose at the end of the day? The blatant dichotomy between many of these players' apathy and the basic human value for competitive instinct is real. I don't get it. I grew up with young men who wanted to win at everything they put time into. Is it such an antiquated position to hold that assumes athletes still actually care about winning, even if it's an 8 month window in the middle of their career?
Strange times.
That’s what I’m thinking. So is Brown gonna be 1 and done and have to go get his tail kicked in Rupp Arena by Cal and the guy that recruited him???
Should be far and away Shaka’s best team. Plenty of experience to go with plenty of athleticism, and Greg Brown is a stud. Should be an extremely competitive game.
LOL Kentucky will kick Texas’ collective asses!Should be far and away Shaka’s best team. Plenty of experience to go with plenty of athleticism, and Greg Brown is a stud. Should be an extremely competitive game.
I wouldn’t take Edwards #1 but he’s one of three in the mix according to NBA insiders. However, Edwards is only in the mix because this is considered a weak draft at the top with very little consensus on the best player. He wouldn’t be in the mix in recent years for #1 other than maybe 2013.I agree... But I mean, look at Edwards. He will be the #1 pick. With a net worth of $50 million + guaranteed in about 2 months. They don’t care about 8 months in college. It’s a pit stop for them.
Yes and twice on SundayLOL Kentucky will kick Texas’ collective asses!
