For Greg 2.0, his defining moment was the botched timeout and loss to Illinois. I think at that point the fan base turned on Greg for good and all the concerns about him being a bad game day coach were confirmed. There is just no coming back from such a bad moment. It was really just a matter of time before the end would come.
I like Greg and appreciate what he did in his first tenure but I can't help but wonder what would have been different had he not made one of the worst calls of all time that day. The '24 season would have been a huge success and he likely would have had a lot more goodwill with fanbase.
