Until then, I suspect Jensen making Jenica Lewis the top PG target in the ‘26 class had major influence. Having Halpering and the girl from Utah (IIRC) in for a visits probably signaled Greenway’s decision to move in another direction.
I thought Kussow was a good offer too but she committed to the Gophers.

There have been numerous lengthy threads about Greenway. Nobody wants to rehash her.
Long story short...Jensen prioritized Lewis even though it was widely known she wanted to leave the State for college.
Greenway got pissed and crossed Iowa off her list.
End result...Lewis at ND and Greenway at Kentucky.
Bottom line is Iowa will be portaling for a point guard in two years.
When did Jensen prioritize Lewis over Greenway? I hadn't heard that, so please enlighten me.
There are like 50 posts about it in the last year.
Do your own research.
Iowa got neither, the only thing that matters.

Maddyn was recruited as a pg, Jenica was recruited as a 2, It wasn't an either or situation, Iowa wanted and would have taken both.

Seemed like the ultimate vision was a Greenway, Lewis, Deal, MW, Ava super lineup.

The old forum was pretty good - 10-20 regular posters. Its not say we still had issues. I will state I was one that questioned 2+ yrs ago when Hawkbuck said Greenway wasn't coming to Iowa. I said at the time kids can change their mind if the info was true. It shows 2 things, some individuals have really good access to information. 2. As fans we can get frustrated when things don't go the way we think it should. Even still it was still pretty constructive and we all seemed to have a pretty good time.
This current forum is a bit of a hot mess.

Before she came along there were just a few posters who watched and discussed women's basketball, then things exploded and we had a bunch of people who had no knowledge of the game at all come in and just start posting stupid sh*t.
I have met Chad numerous times. He is a great Hawkeye and is always welcome at Iowa. His daughter thought Kentucky was a better fit, get over it.
Jenica Lewis was never very interested in playing for Iowa.

That was my recollection as well but I am old so I don't always trust my memory.
There's a thread on "Page 6", maybe, that discusses Lewis' recruitment.
As far as Greenway vs Lewis, there was probably <1% chance Iowa could get both.
And likely, neither were coming cheap.
A person doesn't have to be tight with the staff to see things.

It's entirely possible that Lewis lost interest in Iowa after Deal commitment if they were both penciled in as "2"s.

Better not be. Beckett may be better then her older sister, and I'm sure we'd love to have her.
There are also a couple more "Greenway girls" and some say Beckett will be even better then Maddyn....
