Some bits from a Florida staffer:

Gray was a silent commit a few weeks ago, their staff wanted him.
Mom was huge, she really wanted him out of Soflo and thinks he'll be better off in Lincoln.

Most Florida fans didn't even want Gray even though the staff did. Some even celebrated when he went NU. They think they deserve better. I didn't see one post offering support/congrats to one of their own. Pretty sad bunch.

Well, he is welcome here! Awesome get. Now get some LB's and this class will start to come together. Make mom proud young man, she seems to be pretty influential in your life.

I call BS. Who wouldn't want a 4* player with an offer list like he has.

Pretty sure it's the whole "we didn't want him anyway" mindset...you know, the same one that we see on here all the time when a recruit doesn't commit to Nebraska.

People undervalue how important it is to get a gameday visit from some of these studs...I think the coaches have a great gameplan. I know people were concerned with the number of comitts in 2020 thus far but look what happens when we get kids on campus on visits for gameday.. especially night games. Osu will be another awesome weekend for recruiting and overall just a great time to be a Husker!! Great job coaches and lets keep it rolling!

You didn't like how he called the game?
NSIS... but just in case, he’s talking about the OU tight end with the same name...

But you probably are hoping someone like me would take the bait. If so, well done.

According to rivals our four lowest rated recruits are:

Huntmacher, Gunnerson, Morrison and Scott.

If that is the weakest part of our class then we’re doing pretty damn well. All four are of course likely to see major bumps. I think we’ll end up being quite pleased with the class when all is said and done.

Lynum isn't the lowest? He is on another recruiting site.

I don't see this kid at Corner. Not enough top end speed. Could be a safety but most honestly, If he can get up to 220 I'd expect him to redshirt and then end up taking over for JoJo Domann at OLB.

No kidding. What nonsense.

If you handed out a survey at a Florida football game and asked their fans to identify who this kid is, no more than one percent would have any idea and of those one percent only a small fraction care about his decision.

Nebraska produces a handful of top recruits. Florida produces dozens, far too many for one single four star recruit to matter.

Maybe in nickel and dime situations. 220lbs at OLB in a 3-4? Kinda small.

Yes, #88. Not the "whoa nelly", GOAT Keith Jackson. That guy was cfb for decades. RIP

You mean that the panic girls who were sobbing about recruiting in July were premature?

Do you think it would be any different for any other 4* or 5* recruit on their list?

Isn't this the standard go to from a fan base who really wanted a guy but was beat out? He is a pretty highly ranked recruit. When you have teams like Bama, Clemson and Georgia interested there is something there. Im calling BS on them, they wanted him badly, but are playing the hurt ex girlfriend bit. " Oh I never really liked him anyways"

Henry Gray was not a recruit any of the top teams went after, especially after he ran a 4.7 40 which is bad for a corner. He received a bunch of offers from a lot of schools last year because he plays at a powerhouse school in Florida and many teams were hoping he would continue to develop into an elite corner prospect and he hasn't. It happens every year in recruiting, teams continue to pass on prospects because they don't develop or they have off the field issues. And I can tell you the 6'1 is a lie, maybe with the hair. He stands 5'10-5'11 at best. Unless he can somehow improve that 40 time into the upper 4.4's, his future is at safety. And for anyone that thinks my post is 'sour grapes', I've followed his recruitment as he was on Ohio States radar last year before the coaches started going after other prospects, as did many other schools.

Just trying to give you some perspective that isn't Nebraska biased. He might end up being solid but he's really overrated, even PSU passed on him if that says anything. Now Turner Corcoran is a great prospect that I wish we landed, but Henry Gray is certainly not a 4* prospect.

And? Why do you feel the need to **** on our commit?
