The actors are great, the special effects are phenomenal, but the screenplay was pathetic. I guess with the show writers not having exact books to go by, they're struggling with making sense of it all.
First, when Bran tells everyone the army of the dead now has a dragon, no one even blinks an eye. Everyone's like "Ok, Cool." And, if the dragon is as strong as they made him look in S7 finale, he's beyond anything Dany's current dragons can take.
2nd, Sansa is supposed to have become this brilliant tactician and leader thanks to years in Kings Landing and with Ramsay, yet she can't see that she needs Dany and her armies to save her people? Right. Don't build her up to be so smart, then make her look like an idiot. I'm afraid they're going to do the same with Arya, making her into this badass with no fear, and now they're going to make her weak in ways she's never shown an inclination to be.
3rd. Do we really think it's possible for Theon and 1 ship of 20 men to sneak into Blackwater Bay in front of 100s of ships, guessing the right ship that Yara is on, killing everyone in their way, getting Yara, and getting out of Blackwater Bay without ever being spotted? What in 7 hells?
4th. We're to believe the 2 most important people in the 7 kingdoms, Jon and Dany, are just going to take joyful dragon rides through the wilderness with the army of the dead on the march nearby? Pathetic.
Also, why am I mad online about this epic fantasy? I guess I grew to expect so much story and so few plot holes.
