I thought the players were now professional? I don’t think he should’ve said anything, but they were paid to perform so not really sure why they’re voting anything.

It doesn't even matter who the more successful coach is. Can you imagine Schiano going on social media and taking veiled shots at the baseball team or whatever. Ridiculous behavior.
I agree. If that's what he meant by that tweet yes. Definitely would agree.

yeah I don’t know enough about college wrestling but that doesn’t seem good. although from my limited understanding, hardly anyone beats PSU and Iowa
It's a bit unfair as it is apples to oranges honestly. To win a wrestling match against PSU you have to essentially beat multiple national champions/all americans. But 0 for 33 (or 34 or 35 whatever it is now) is what it is. Not good enough IMO.

The wrestling coach who can't progress past a certain point is now commenting on the basketball team?

He should figure out how to recruit better to get to the next level or maybe it's his coaching holding them back. Don't know which it is but a guy coaching an individual sport (it's not a team sport) shouldn't be commenting on a team sport.

Shouldn't have been given the choice.
This is about resurrecting the school and honoring the fans
Let me breakdown the multiple comments like this that I've seen:

It's about appeasing older men who still think the athletes are beholden to them for their entertainment.
