Interesting stuff from Jay this week. It's encouraging, but it's not...but it is I guess. He gets into how a lot of it is just mental stuff and alignment stuff. A lot of it wasn't their guys flat out whipping our guys at least defensively.
The good news is that's coachable. You expect that to improve with time and experience. These guys are on their third DC in three years, there are gonna be plays like that where they're just not lined up right, not reading it right.
If it gets to be year three and that's still happening that's a problem, but I get it in game 3 on a big stage like they were. It takes a ton of reps to get everyone's brain synced up. I'd be more worried if he was saying that NU did everything it was supposed to and just got run over because they couldn't take on blocks or tackle ball carriers.
