The grab Toussaint got away with in the paint was a huge miss by the refs. The Wisconsin player (forget which one) was in position to catch the pass and go up for an easy dunk and he was obviously grabbed so he was unable to catch the pass. That alone could have stemmed the tide. Smart play to prevent the dunk, and even more fortunate to get away with it.

Oh well for Wisconsin.

I agree with whoever said the online Iowa fans are fine, but I find their players and especially their head coach hard to root for.

The way we play when we win.....even a run to finals with a double bye would leave us with tired legs for Thursday or Friday.

I know it's halfway through a marathon season but I think Illinois has an uphill stretch and then downhill after that.

At Michigan W
Minnesota
At Iowa
Maryland
Michigan State
At Rutgers
At Penn State

Then at NW, NEB, Indiana, at OSU, Iowa

I have no idea where Illinois will finish, but MSU and Maryland are still 1 and 2 in overall talent and ability to take their play to another gear right now.

I think the winner of the B1G finishes with 5 losses, 2nd through 4th can finish with 7 or 8 losses in this balanced league.

One earlier projection had 14-6 MSU in 1st place.

Wisconsin looks like the old Rutgers team, up 12 with 5 minutes and lose.
Wisconsin played a terrific 35 minutes on the road but then they missed shots and Iowa lived on the foul line. Its amazing the number of foul shots Garza gets each game.He missed too many shots around the basket but his foul shots and a couple 3 pointers by other players was the difference in the game.

Wisconsin ,Michigan,Minnesota ,Ohio State and Purdue are in a precarious position because they are all near 10 losses right now with all the games in February still to play. This situation helps Rutgers which still has 5 road games to play plus the MSG game against Michigan.

I'll admit I haven't watched Maryland as much as some other teams.......Illinois has sick talent. I am not disagreeing, but i can't agree.

Do you really think MSU has the best talent?

You mean certain teams at home get the calls.

No, this year it's been pretty consistent across the board. In our game against Penn State, I thought there were a couple questionable calls that went our way that made me say, whatever f-em.. it's Penn State.
