Question your sources. In an election year 17 of 20 times when the President and the Senate were of the same party a SC Justice was confirmed. Only 2 of 10 times when the parties were different was the SC Justice confirmed. So ACB was perfectly aligned with historical precedent.

I said half the country in the market, and of those 50%, the richest 10% own almost all of the stocks. You can twist it all you want, but its the bone simple truth. The richest 10% of the country own 84% of the stocks. Someone who reads that and wants to pretend I'm saying only 10% of the people are in the stock market has issues with reading comprehension or is a unrepentant **** stirrer. He did the same thing Democrats would have done, the grandstanding was the issue. He’s a hypocrite, but he did what he was placed there to do. The gloves are off, decency and reaching across the aisles to find common ground are a lost art.

You have the progressives lobbing bombs at everyone who doesn’t support their narrow vision. You have right wingers claiming conspiracies and trying to make us basically the ”religion” based country, gassing people so they can get a photo op at a church.

There are more. Things like policy choices by elected leaders including foreign leaders. The bottom line is for most people there is no guarantee about keeping a good job even if you work hard and do all the right things. Economists and office holders (and the public) can however push for policies that improve the odds.
