We're certainly all over the map on Stone, but having said that, personal attacks are infantile and uncalled for (OP). If you wouldn't say it to his face, rather than hiding behind your computer screen, STFU. This is also a bit like wanting to hire the greatest coach on earth to resurrect NU football. You don't really know what you are going to get until you have him. Look at coaches who have been successful at NU--Parseghian, Agase, Barnett, even Fitz (until his fall from Grace). Well, Fitz may have done himself in, but the others? NU f'd up in all cases. And they may do it again. Braun has inherited a mess, but he appears a capable coach--young, inexperienced, but don't trash him. He may not be not the right fit--or he may be. There were hopeful signs yesterday, for example, the defense played their hearts out against a team that has scored in the sixties its last two games. Two of their scores yesterday were the result of NU's offensive errors. And has anyone mentioned that Oregon beat PSU 45-17 last year? There have also been hopeful signs in NU firing Gragg and now Schill. What's worrisome is that they were hired in the first place. Don't put the current situation totally on the shoulders of the players and coaches. Yes, NU's offense is once again suspect, as it has been most of the past 30 years. This sort of consistency is often referred to as a tradition. Who do we blame for that, Braun, Lujan, Stone, Covey? If the powers that be don't recognize this, then god help HU football.
