The Masters can’t get here fast enough. Another March madness with nothing to get excited about.
Yeah, this is a tough one to defend. On the one hand, I try not to kill Pope because we only have 4 decent healthy players. On the flip side, we do a lot of basic **** wrong. Georgia is a terrible rebounding team but we gave up follow up dunks all night because we refuse to box out. And we run underneath shooters at an alarming rate. Bad night for the Big Blue
He was ran off as early as 2015. Ill die on this hill, some fans were waiting to turn on him.. a lot of idiots questioniong his roster decisions when he won 38 games in a row.
The aggravating thing is I will have a hard time getting up tomorrow because I stood up to watch this crapfest
Pope will get a 3rd year even if he does not win another game this year. We need to accept the fact that we will have this same issue next year and then maybe we get a new AD to find us a decent coach. I do not want another Barnhart hire for our coach.

Yeah if I would have known this would be the hire I would have said bite the bullet a few more years. Should have known Barney would screw this up.
I don't take shots at people who are rightfully upset. And I don't mind people not liking Pope. I do defend the guy against over the top criticism. People pretend the injuries didn't change the course of the team. Jasper, BG and Noah can't play a lick and they have to play. We are just not a talented team. But is we are not talented, how is it coaching mistakes on the court? We just dont have enough players
Good coaches teach how to defend simple ball screens. If we give up 14 3’s to a team like Georgia we will never beat anyone consistently with him.
We are missing players, but Pope also recruited those guys. You said it yourself, we don’t do basic things well and that hasn’t changed in two years. It won’t change with better players other than they can cover it up better. He’s not the guy sadly. I feel bad and I want him to succeed. I have seen so many issues over two years, he coaches to his career record. He is what he is.
Pope was terrible tonight. His substitution pattern showed no thought as to the flow of the game whatsoever. We were up 9 early and could have stepped on their throat. He was uber bad. I’ve made excuses for him too. But he absolutely has to figure this **** out. Pronto. At this point I think a change may be needed. The same foolish stubbornness that pissed me off about Cal is what is killing Pope. And he has way less talent.
"How many games do you think we loose?" You corrected with "loss."
"How many games to you think we lose?" is the correct syntax.
Dude, just take it in stride. We're all wrong sometimes. "Lose" is an intransitive verb that means "To fail to win."
No I corrected my own mistake. I originally put loose instead of loss. That’s my bad then, I thought you were calling me out for my mistake.
It’s hard to tell with this team. We could win out or lose them all. I have no idea at this point.
We have Oweh, Chandler, DA and MM. Thats four guys and you need 5 on the court. Those four guys score 66 points. The rest of tge team scored 12. Unless he plays those 4 40 minutes, there are going to be bad lineups out of necessity
He has to hold guys accountable. He doesn’t. That starts in the offseason and in practices. And that includes everyone from the assistants to the waterboys.

It’s too late to do much now. That work should have been done last summer and fall. It wasn’t.
That was completely unprepared to compete to start the season. They don’t compete half the time man. They go thru the motions of looking like they’re playing hard thru huge chunks of ballgames. They lose focus at the drop of a hat. They keep making the same idiotic mistakes game after game. This is the same stuff that made people tire of Cal so much. Because nobody is ever accountable.
Orrrrr hear me out. You can take cal and pope and jump off the cliff. Hell atleast pope made a sweet 16. Call couldn’t get out of the first round in 6 years.

Pope has potential, but he’s hard headed. He still hasn't learned his lesson.
This was a problem at BYU too, this isn’t new. You can't go into Lawrence, KS, beat Kansas, then lose st home to UCF, but that's what he does.
His lineups throughout each game, are head scratchers. He kerps putting really bad combinations on the floor.
When you have momentum, you don't start swapping players out and Pope keeps doing that.
I can't defend that loss ladt night, thst was a very devastating loss, one that puts us behind a bunch of teams in the SEC and probably drops us to an 8 seed, or worse in the NCAAT.
You can't play the way we did agsinst UT, Ark znd Florida, then do this. This, combined with his recruiting problems, will ensure Pope won't last past next year.
Dammit Kentucky, y’all could have put White squarely on the hot seat. Now we have to deal with him saying he won at Rupp and we’ll probably be stuck with him.
In all seriousness, I didn’t watch a second of it live. Imagine that. I just knew it would be the same ole crap. Have a good UK buddy that said this one broke him. Look, I get it. Even as a Georgia fan, I know that’s a bad loss losing to us. We’re historically mediocre to bad.
If it makes you feel any better, our talent really isn’t that bad. White typically ruins it with piss poor in-game strategy. He was half way competent that night and we have enough talent now to make some teams pay. If White has done anything, he has raised our floor. I’m grateful for that. Would be happy with consecutive tournament appearances. Lol
