Football GATOR BOWL THREAD: Rutgers versus Wake Forest

[mildone_rivals]

If I’m Schiano I say the next guy that lines up in the neutral zone takes a seat.

That would be a mistake, IMO. They are working very hard and should be encouraged to work harder, not punished which will sap energy. I would joke with them about it, to get it in their heads a bit. But nothing punitive.

Is this officiating crew calling offsides different or something

yes!

[cubuffsdoug_rivals]

5 offsides called so far

Go back and look. The officiating crew is calling it tight. Rutgers is lining up the same way all year with no crew calling it offsides. This crew sees it differently. It's not like Rutgers is gaining an advantage.

[rurichdog]

5 fing offsides....

My old coach used to say if you can't even line up and get set properly, how do you ever expect to execute at a high level?

Usually followed by a lap.

[ashokan]

These WF receivers are big and athletic.

'Its lucky Roberson isn't playing today. He and Perry together are a headache

[rob kight]

Our guys must have been told to get as close as possible

Should apply the 6 foot Covid rule

[RUTRINI_rivals]

5 offsides called so far

I'm sure everyone is playing hard and not meaning to. Maybe it's part of the game plan

[Danprusa_4]

Most of these offsides are our veterans I would understand if it was our young players

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

Aside from everything, this is still a 1 score game.

True. Can’t botch any more Golden opportunities though

[SouthJerseyRU]

Well they didn't get a TD, so we got that going for us, which is nice.

[RU from Jersey_rivals]

Can't the d-line see the black line of scrimmage. It is so obvious.

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

JFC block better for Simon

[RUChoppin]

If it's a difference in their interpretation of the rules, that needs to be clarified quickly and adjustments made. I can't remember a game where I've seen a team called for five offsides in a 20 game minutes before.

[Scarlet_Monster]

It's a shame they didn't go to Youngblood right away when Aron went down.

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

Not good play call there.

[rob kight]

Too early to play QB number 4

[Scarlet_Monster]

That should be been DPI the defender didn't allow the WR to come back for the ball.

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

Need more running plays though. WF has a small DL

[rob kight]

Where has Youngblood been?

[ClassOf02v.2]

Vedral looks good.

[RUTRINI_rivals]

Unbelievable throw by Vedral

[redking]

Impressive throw by Vedral

[Rokodesh]

Stop switching QBs every play, this is stupid

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

Enough bombs into double coverage

won’t work

[B1GRUfan1]

What’s Wimsatt doing? Thought he had a cannon

[RUBlackout7]

I don’t get the qb rotation

[RUJMM78]

Both teams defense stinks.

[Ronnie_B]

I don't mind using different QBs, but not after each play!

[ClassOf02v.2]

Stop it with a different QB on every play....what is this?

[mikeylew1992]

I am confused why do we rotate QBs so often??

[rob kight]

Need more Johnny football

[mikebal9]

Need more Johnny football

He was very effective.

[B1GRUfan1]

Vedral seems to have the hot hand. gotta stick with him

[RUboston]

What’s Wimsatt doing? Thought he had a cannon

Those two passes didn’t look too strong. Talk about floaters.

[RUTRINI_rivals]

Stop switching QBs every play, this is stupid

It's working somehow

[Rokodesh]

What’s Wimsatt doing? Thought he had a cannon

Doesn't want to throw a pick

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

Go back to what was working the past two drives

[RUBlackout7]

Vedral looks good, why not run with that hand?

[RUAldo]

What’s Wimsatt doing? Thought he had a cannon

Is that totally Wimsatt’s fault or shouldn’t our WR break off his pattern when he sees throw is off target?

[ashokan]

Vedral looks good.

He was hurt the last third of the season. Rest did him good
