You must be using the 2020 version of Athlon. Nebraska is 6-2 vs Illinois now, 4-1 at home., Illinois won the 2020 game 41-23 and Nebraska had 5 turnovers. That may alter your averages and predictions some.

I don't think the season will be a disaster, I think the Cornhuskers will win a couple of the tough games down the road we don't expect them to (like WI), especially if there is a change at QB, but right now I expect the team has been reading too much of their own press about this year being different and will come out flat and over-confident.

I have no idea what will happen, and you may be right, but…
I can’t imagine they will be overconfident after losing to Illinois last year in embarrassing fashion. I think they come out trying to make a statement. I don’t know that they will make a statement, but I do think they get the victory.

Illinois by 3-10 things spiral down quickly this will be the ugliest season since the mid 1950’s. I come to the conclusion that frost was lighting in a bottle for one season I truly want him to succeed but not going to happen, way to many negatives that need to do 180 degrees if it was just one or two I’d say yes but not 5,6,7
