Happy we won but Syracuse stinks. Remember that "solid" Ohio team that they beat on the road last week?
Well they just lost at home to Duquesne 28-26.

Today was a trap game for Ohio, looking ahead to (checks Ohio schedule...) U La Lafayette.

Play of the game was Dino unthinkably returning Danny Devito to the game after he sucked and the backup lit us up, then Devito sleep walks back in.

1st possession for Graham: three and out, negative yardage.

2nd possession: three and out, gained 5 yards

3rd possession: Gained 34 yards, possession ended with missed FG

Final line 5 for 8, 49 yards, four carries for -2 yards

For all the negative feelings and opinions about the way we played on offense let us not forget that on defense, with the exception of one drive, RU was excellent. And, in the fourth quarter when we had to move the ball and use the clock out offense stepped up and got it done. For three quarters one could argue the two teams were pretty equally matched. But the fourth quarter, IMO, belonged to RU. There is an expression that says good teams find a way to win, bad teams find a way to lose. The fourth quarter is the one that separated the two teams today.

Some of the best tackling in a LONG time. Remember the matador bowling pin defense under Ash?

last week was the best tackling I've seen in years from RU. this week there were a bit more mistakes but overall a great job by the D.
