Hope we rack up as many wins as we can against this gauntlet of a pre-conference schedule so we can stay above. 500 overall when we get in the SEC.
You could say that about a lot of teamsThis team isn’t top-50 if Oscar and Tyty aren’t on the floor.
Perhaps he is having back soreness … there’s a reason he didn’t log a minute. That’s not a brace. It’s a medical device that heats and massages.
He’s trying to spark us offensively. Just needs to relax. Drink less coffee. He’s my favorite player but he needs to learn sooner rather than later to slow down and make the smart play. He makes some of the dumbest turnovers but he did at Georgia too. He just needs to play a little slower and a little smarter!
Mintz has never been a good FT shooter. He's not a great perimeter shooter either. But I like the effort he plays with. What's with all these missed free throws? I don't expect Ware to make them, but Mintz and Collins should
They have to. Woods doesn't have that many options. We have Oscar, Toppin and Collins with more scoring options. I doubt UK takes 14 threes with Oscar in the game. My takeaway, Oscar in foul trouble is the great equalizer. No way they keep that up at the line. Decent at the three for southern.
8 days off too. We didn’t look this bad in the other games. Finals, etc. It's amazing to me how much these teams play down to the competition. I guess they probably didn't think they needed to get up much to beat this team. Kentucky played Duke very well. Tonight is certainly not a thing of beauty. The two best teams this team has played were probably the two best games. I guess that's one silver lining.
I thought it was a question of money?I would hope so.We have played **** teams.
Shot goes thru the net at 2.8. Laettner signals for timeout. Refs blow whistle. Timer stops clock. All in .6 seconds. That was ********. Timer stopped clock as soon as he saw the ball go thru.Gee thanks ESPN. Just had to show the Laettner shot one more time.
You have some stats to back that up. Bet not.Mintz has never been a good FT shooter. He's not a great perimeter shooter either. But I like the effort he plays with.
Officials helping Duke? Naaaaaaahh.Shot goes thru the net at 2.8. Laettner signals for timeout. Refs blow whistle. Timer stops clock. All in .6 seconds. That was ********. Timer stopped clock as soon as he saw the ball go thru.
No Way say there should have been more than 1.5.
At the end of regulation when Hurley missed a shot UK rebounded and signaled for timeout at 1.8 but said timer let the clock run out. .08 was put back on the clock as standard procedure at the time was in timing situations it was judged that it took 1.0 seconds to signal a timeout, have it recognized by a ref and the timer to stop the clock. This was told me by a fellow employee who was an active Southwest conference official at the time.
The timer was footing for Duke.
Most of the time there was not more than one other player on the court who could make a shot. Not a great half for Wheeler. IMO he needs to concentrate more on getting others the shot and stop looking to score himself. Forces way too much.

I agree. And Toppin is also a smart player. He just has no offense yet. He is either going to have to get a much better handle or a much better shot to help much there I believe.I don’t think he’s “really good” yet. We want him to be better than he is. Potential seems to be there, but right now he is just an athletic freak.
what? no way. college basketball officials never make mistakes. pffft.. you’re just making excuses. impossible forShot goes thru the net at 2.8. Laettner signals for timeout. Refs blow whistle. That's how he got to Memphis.Tom T Hall could run a better offense than Cal.
Fellow Olive Hillian, RIP StorytellerThat's how he got to Memphis.
I'm not trying to be critical. I just think that's the stats. He was 65% last season and I think that's about what he has shot in years past. That's not good. It's not terrible I guess, but it's not good. You have some stats to back that up. Bet not.
Mintz is a career 71% ft shooter. Not great but not bad. Also 36% from three, which isn’t bad either.I'm not trying to be critical. I just think that's the stats. He was 65% last season and I think that's about what he has shot in years past. That's not good. It's not terrible I guess, but it's not good.
I’ve argued this for 2 decades. Ha.Shot goes thru the net at 2.8. Laettner signals for timeout. Refs blow whistle. Timer stops clock. All in .6 seconds. That was ********. Timer stopped clock as soon as he saw the ball go thru.
