The children of the forest are all dead now and they created the night king so I really don’t see how the white walkers could possibly come back.
It was game of hordes at that point. The Dothraki are a horde and the dead were a horde. The dead were the larger of the two and they had giants leading the charge. It was an extremely dumb move. I would’ve used the Dothraki to flank and harass the dead to relieve the pressure on my front lines. They were calvary archers as well so tip your arrows with obsidian and light their asses up.
One thing I really liked about the end result was how well it tied into actual history. In ancient times, the best way to defeat a much larger army was to try for a quick victory by taking out the king. And that's what they did.
I'm about to get deep on here. I'm really starting to think Kings landing gets destroyed as does the iron throne. Between Dany's dragon and Cersei's wildfire, King's landing is burned to the ground. Then no one sits the iron throne and we move back to 7 kingdoms (or really nine as there have actually been 9). All the pieces are in place for that to happen. Sansa or Jon rules the north. Robin Arryn rules the Vale. Tyrion rules the westerlands. Yara rules the iron islands. Dorne is ruled by the new Martell Prince. Gendry rules the stormlands. This leaves only the reach and the river-lands. These two are up for debate but I think the following happens... the seat of power in the Reach moves from Highgarden to Horn Hill and Sam Tarly rules the reach. Edmure Tully rules the Riverlands. All of these people would basically be allies of the Starks at this point.
Dany fulfills her promise by "breaking the wheel" of power over the seven kingdoms but dies in the process (maybe at the hand of Arrya who is attempting to put Jon in power). I could see Jon Snow dying as well but I'm not as sure about that. Jaime kills Cersei but dies in the process. Clegane Bowl happens but Grey Worm gets involved as well. All three die.
All guesses but this makes a lot of sense to me.

Probably. Think that's why we see greyjoy's "oh crap" face in the previews for this week.
Plus, on the side of the sword from the opening credits you can see a picture of one large dragon and three smaller dragons. Clearly there will be three more dragons.
Maybe the big dragon represents Daenerys “the mother of dragons” and the three small ones are her little ones.
Ok let's just get this gripe out of the way......
DnD are very bad writers and have come up with an absolutely awful AND disappointing story/narrative, and it's been downhill ever since they ran out of source material. I could go on and on and on for days about the lore and characters, but I doubt anyone else (book readers or folks who obsess over theories, or visit /asoif /freefolk) here really cares or wants that, but I completely threw in the towel with the TV series.
Here's the thing... what they write is bad and we see it unfold before our eyes, and that's one thing that in that it's "fine" for Arya to kill the NK, in a sense.... but their execution of it is abysmal. The "after the episode breakdowns" hammer away at how bad they are. "Didn't feel right" about Jon and the NK. Dany "sort of forgot about the Iron Fleet". "Theme's are for an 8th grade book report", "you figure it out [how to kill the NK]". The actor interviews about the season are amazing and foreshadowing. It's pure fan service/fiction. It's GRRM "Scouring of the Shire" as he so wanted, but in the worst possible execution. Etc.,
I'm happy folks are enjoying the series if they do. I'm enjoying this complete burning of a show for what it is, but what you see is what you get. Nothing more, nothing less. There is no mystery. There are no theories. There's no man behind the curtain.
I've read both of the Bell and Spanish leaks for the series and "know" what happens next, and I will be enjoying the rest of the season with the lot of you...
However, I will be rooting for Robyn to suck the Mountains teet all the way to the iron throne. Just Robyn's face covered in black ooze as he sits on the mountains lap while on the iron throne.

For instance when 6 white walks confront Royce (the very first scene on the TV Show, but with just one WW) and the WWs (one of them possibly being the "NK") thinking its Jon Snow due to Craster's previous allegiance and descriptions of Royce and Jon Snow on their visit prior. These WWs are covered in "beautiful" glass armor and speak their own language, even mocking Royce when they realize he isn't who they are looking for (book theory).
We've all heard of the Bran becoming the NK theory. Loved it, but didn't happen. I thought when Bran said "I'm going now" he would have warged into the past and could have dealt with the NK himself and it would have resulted in.. something, but the actor playing Bran confirmed in an interview that he "didn't really know what Bran was doing" and that "he was most likely scouting with Ravens".
All Bran did and has ever really done with this time abilities (and what the show writers decided) was to warg back in time to give a kid brain damage.
That's where we are at.

Like...how do you not notice a bunch of huge ships? Seems crazy to think that they would not have seen them.
If there ARE indeed a few more dragons, everyone is going to complain about them being held out of the Battle of Winterfell.

Idk how they can wrap everything up in just one more episode, without it feeling any more rushed than the rest of this season.
There was so much material that could have been explored along the way; this season.

Say what you want about the tenants of Cersei, at least she had an ethos. Dany just killed half a mil for no reason. Jon and or Arya and Tyrion are about to et tu brute her next week.
Really disappointed that we didn't see moar dragons. Thought Cersei and the golden company would put up more of a fight. Realllllly disappointed that Jamie went back to his sis. Thought there was a decent chance he was going back to kill her.
Was cool to see the dragon do work. Somebody mentioned that we might see a Sopranos-type of ending and I can definitely see that with only one episode left.

I don't watch it, but that would be BS!!!! That ending on Sopranos was a huge WTF moment.
Thought Jamie would kill her as well. At least he got that weasel Greyjoy. Real question is..,Are her and Jamie both dead?
I think Dany will have Tyrion killed for freeing Jamie and she will then be killed by someone you would least expect like Sam or Sansa and Jon Snow will end up on the throne.

I could see Dany leaning into the crazy and Jon being dumb and trying to talk to her about it. Dany kills Jon and all of her advisors. So it is just her and Greyworm. And she is the queen of ashes.
But I bet the show has Jon or Arya kill Dany. Jon reluctantly takes the throne.
I am also sad that Jamie didn’t kill Cersei. The prophecy went unfulfilled. And the whole Euron fight thing was dumb. Just let him die in dragon fire. There was no need for the fight. And I hated that Jamie gets stabbed twice and still manages to get Cersei and walk around for awhile. He should have bleed out there if he was stabbed like that. It all just seemed unnecessary.

I'm betting Cersei is still alive and will be smoked next week by Tyrion in front of Dany thus fulfilling the prophecy and saving his life in the process

Agree, this season has been horribly rushed. 7 years of story lines and character develop can not be shoved into 6 episodes. It is just turning into a mess. This show and the fans deserved better after 8 years.
I hated the way they killed her off. So I would love to see her still alive. I just don't see it happening.
BTW, Dany is no longer Jon's queen. That bit was burnt to a crisp when she went all psycho. The look he gave said it all.

Now they are going to wrap up seven seasons of character development and story in six short episodes, making battles super easy to win with a dagger here, and a dragon there. Pretty lame.

Dani, enraged and mad, will have her dragon pour down flames on Jon Snow...in a dramatic sequence, a naked Jon will emerge from the flames with sword in hand (he is a Targaryen after all) and do the final deed to the mad Queen...take it to the bank
I think that Jon Snow will enter the transfer portal to bend his knee for another Kingdom. The NCAA will grant him immediate eligibility based on his unwillingness to have sex with his aunt. I don’t know his forty time, but I don’t believe that his program listing as being 6’2” is accurate.
