FSU fires Mike Norville

[mdk02]

Unless there are offsets it will cost them 49 million.

[Rob from NJ]

Assuming the $49M is for Coach Norvell himself and doesn't include buying out his staff which will most likely push this number much higher. What a racket.

Are you saying it should be "field house" as opposed to "fieldhouse"?

We’re always the bridesmaids, never the brides. We’re never getting rid of Schiano, are we?

Dude will make $860K/month for the next 6 years…the way money is burnt by these institutions is insane. Couple that with the money they’ll have to pay the new coach and the giant debt for the recent stadium renovation and Florida State is in a giant financial hole.

The difference is that the press, politicians and Floridians will support it. NJ.com has been pushing for GS firing because they have another write-up about wasteful spending as soon as RU fires him. They are vultures.

I wonder if this is a CFP casualty. In the waning days of the Big East / BCS we would often acknowledge that an undefeated Big East team could be left out of the BCS Championship Game at the expense of a 1 loss SEC team. In 2023, undefeated Florida State gets snubbed for the 4 team playoff by a 1 loss Alabama and a 1 loss Texas teams and FSU never seemed to recover. I also remember after the B1G snub where they added Nebraska over RU (where some were certain we'd get the bid), several here wanted to join the ACC. WHEW! Dodged that bullet! The ACC raided the Big East so many times they became the Big East.

Perhaps al is wondering if Mike is related to the newswoman Deborah?

Watch your spelling!! Shouldn't it be Al?

IDK any more. He has so many identities. Wasn't he rutgersal originally--all lower case?

Tend to think many of the identities are AI -generated bots. With the default font on this site, you can't tell an "I" from and "L". But superfan is a different version of AL.
