Frost has the pulse of his team. I trust him implicitly.
And he would never use the Noid unis.

I didn't like your post because I don't like the idea of different uniforms like the Ducks, but I agree with you I think it is on Frost's mind.I bet he wants to have a bunch of uniform choices, ala Oregon. Not saying it will happen, just that is what I suspect he wants, eventually.
article on LSU white home color.
probably in the minority here but I'm not sure how much I'd love white top/black pants
I don't like the idea of having a bunch of uniform changes and alternate jerseys. Every other blue blood program has traditional jerseys. I think we should act like the blue blood program we are and go with the traditional unis.
Nah. I hate those power towels. Are you stealing K- State ideas?![]()
We need to keep up with other teams and doing things like this. It does help and we all seen how it’s helped the Oregon Ducks with their recruiting. I say “hey, if Frost, his staff and the players are fine with wearing different uniforms ever other game, then I’m down and support it”. It’s all about our team anyways, not so much us. What ever helps us sale our Huskers...I’m for. GBR
And they are SickOhio State has non traditional alts with those all black uniforms.
One thing I have noticed with this whole new uniform thing is the vast majority really love them or are at least ok with them. Very few people have I heard outright hate everything about them. Think back to the last 10 years of alt uniforms, I can't think of 1 (maybe the all whites) where the vast majority of us liked the uniforms. Most of the time they were horrible. Frost comes in and comes up with the idea for these and they turn out awesome. Long story short, Frost gets Nebraska. He understand the program, the fans, and the state. I know it is a little thing but in the past even something as simple as uniforms have been overlooked by previous coaches.
I think it’s a great idea and the jerseys do look sharp.. It’s the Black N and Black strip on the helmet that some like I don’t like..
Was easier at UCF for different uniforms or combination of uniforms because of their school colors.. Much more difficult here when your school colors are Scarlet and Cream..

Does anyone really think there is incentive in a game to have the opportunity to select a uniform for the next game?
There are 8 P5 teams that make up the top 10 winningest college football programs. 6 of the 8 wear alternates. Or have at least worn them in the past. Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Penn State.
I have never recalled Penn St wearing alternate uniforms..
Now throw back uniforms yes they have..
Some have a hard time distinguishing the difference between the 2..

Our players literally hope to get a practice jersey in hopes that they start on defense.
Just saying
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this wouldn’t be the only thing Frost is doing to entice the players to play harder. I have no doubt this is just one piece of the puzzle...Oh jeez, that isn't even the same thing for crying out loud. Being awarded a black shirt after earning it is not the same thing as being part of deciding which uniform to wear.
I have no clue how Tom managed to get his players to play so hard without the carrot and he stick.

Guess what? Tom ain't here no more..Oh jeez, that isn't even the same thing for crying out loud. Being awarded a black shirt after earning it is not the same thing as being part of deciding which uniform to wear.

Why is it so hard for you to see this as a building block to strengthening the team overall?
I hate to tell ya, but a red nebraska helmet just doesn't work that well. Would look too high schoolish. I know your avatar is just a concept but it would look clunky irlWear the white jersey with the skull and bones and wear Red pants with a red helmet.Winking

Ohio State is the only one that wears them regularly. Alternate jerseys are just that. As Bo once said, "is black one of our colors?".
The UNL style guide recognizes both black and gold as tertiary colors for university publications. Black and Gold was used before Scarlet and Cream. Since white isn't even a color...all universities use white for road uniforms...it doesn't give Nebraska a lot of options. Since the defense is called the "Blackshirts," it makes more than a little sense.
Recruits like uniform choices. It generates recruiting interest and excitement for the athletes. That matters more than upsetting the delicate sensitivities of some old fart in the stands with his arms crossed and headphones on.
Im all for Purple Rain becoming our new National anthem while we are decreeing thingsWhatever works. That is my new motto. Heck, we could come out in f$cking purple jerseys with a Prince purple rain song for the tunnel walk and I wouldn’t care so long as it helps us win.
