I will say this, Frost is sure lobbying for his job. I don't know how many times I have heard him say that this is a really good team and they are about to pop. LOL I usually like my pop with more then 3 wins thank you. Does he deserve another season? Personally, NO, but I will say this is the best his teams have played. So, what if he gets another year. If they "POP" and they can actually "POP" with wins instead of "POPPING" by being close but looking better, then all we have done is set Nebraska football back yet another year. I have said this before, ANY good coach worth their money has turned the team around by year 3, and this is year 4, and he has only 3 wins in 10 games, and lost 4 in a row by a team that the coach calls "Really good and ready to pop". Nope, he can lobby all he wants, I think the school cuts is losses and sends him packing to a non power 5 school where he belongs. Just my opinion for what it'[s worth.

Look at this way, with frost back for another season, we don't have to go through the hell hole experience of Bill O'Brien being the head coach and wanting to push him out the door after 3 seasons. taht would have been a horrible, horrible, horrible hire.

If frost is retained, vote with your wallets. After Illinois, I decided not to attend any games or spend any money on the athletic department until there is either improvement to the tune of at least 8-4 next year, or a new head coach. Im much happier for it. The only thing that will get this athletic departments attention is empty seats and the end of the fake sell out streak. Burn it down.

I have never understood this thought process and could not disagree more.

In my opinion the only good reason for keeping Frost is continuity and not wanting to go through the whole coaching change thing again. There is talent on this team, it is fairly young, and with a different QB picked up in Juco or transfer portal, we might just "pop" as Frost says. However, there are several reasons to fire him. First, he has had four straight losing seasons and the reasons for that reside squarely on the shoulders of some asinine decisions made by Frost with regard to the coaches he has retained, the QB position, and special teams. What evidence do we have that his judgment in these matters will improve? He has also shown little ability to make in-game adjustments and is routinely out coached. And getting out coached is directly related to the quality of the offensive assistants he has retained. He is also a piss poor in-game coach. The decision to kick a field goal on 4th and four at the 13 is just staggeringly stupid considering all of the troubles we have had with our kickers this year. I texted my brother before that kick and said "he will miss this... guaranteed." And I am sure tons of Husker fans were saying the same. So why couldn't Frost see it too? Why did we wait until the fourth quarter to start running option plays? Because Martinez was hurt? Then why run him later? Why did we decline a five yard penalty against OSU when they were near our red zone? Why not run Yant more in situational plays designed for him and which he understands? Why not target Allen more often? Finally, one of the biggest reasons to fire Frost is that if we don't I think our recruiting both this year and next will be awful. Bring in a new coach who has some positive media mojo and some recruiting chops and we might just yet put together a decent class this year. Wait to fire Frost after yet another losing season next year and any new coach we bring in will be dealing with a much less talented roster and looking down the barrel of two lost recruiting cycles.

Frost himself has said that this is by far his best and most talented team. And we have demonstrated on the field that that is probably correct. We have now almost beaten four teams in the top ten. But we have also lost to some middling teams. If this is his best team then why are we 3-7? Piss poor coaching that is why. I was extremely excited, along with just about everyone else, when Frost was hired. It pains me deeply that he has failed. But he has. Time to move on.

Not a fan of edging. I'm about ready to pop.

Legit chance if he is retained that 0-12 is in the cards as his recruiting has been total dog đź’© and there transfer portal will be overwhelmed by a mass exodus from Lincoln. 0.0000001% chance he is retained

Nah. Georgia Southern is dead meat no matter who is coaching. And North Dakota better watch out too. Imma say 2-10.

Frost has lost games that we have had no business losing, he is such a poor coach that I put nothing past him. Not to mention that the 2020 holdovers will be looking around thinking another pandemic is going on with all the empty seats at Memorial in 2022 if Frost is retained.

I’ve seen some post that the schedule let’s up next year, but outside of OSU we’re still playing all the same teams that either beat us this year or have a history of beating us. OU still on the schedule. I think we struggle to get 6 without changes.

According to composite rankings, Frost's four recruiting classes at Nebraska have ranked 23rd (2018), 17th (2019), 20th (2020) and 20th (2021). Talent hasn't been the issue, development and player retention has been.................NO WAY SCOTT FROST SHOULD BE STANDING ON THE SIDELINE IN LINCOLN NEXT YEAR. If he cannot win with top 20 recruits, he cannot win.

Those Boys might of had a few to many!! Talk about a team (Iowa coaches )( Iowa scheme )who defend mediocrity, not Iowa fans who defend mediocrity. Nebraska fans certainly don't defend mediocrity.
This thread is littered with several posts suggesting that fans could live with a coach who has not won more than THREE B1G games in four years. If he gets a new QB, if he changes assistants, if he gets an offensive identity, if he gets a ST coach, if he takes some classes on how to be a head coach, and on and on.

You are correct - that is not defending mediocrity, that is defending the bottom of the barrel.

Give him another year, but make him restructure his buyout. Put some sort of win % clause into it. If they don’t meet that number, there is a discounted buyout.

I severely overestimated the competence of the Nebraska AD. I will try to do better in the future. Buckle up for 2022 with Frost where we might not win a single game, and yet there will be fans clamoring for him to come back.
