The only quick throws are ******** swing passes. I think it’s both Martinez and the play calling. We never run slants, ever, the easiest play in the world against man coverage and we have the receivers for it. Every f*cking pass play is Martinez trying to just buy time and dance around. It’s completely pathetic.
I agree, I thought Frost's offense was built on slants and crossing patterns with slot and wide receivers When you do see this in games, you see Adrian never look to make that throw. It's strange. I don't know if it is confidence or inability or what. Sometimes I think, well maybe we are running routes to deep, is that on the OL, I don't know, I don't think so. It just seems like it's a mix of everything and QB1 is the on field leader of it. I think it's safe to say that he isn't a quick blinker though.

"HCSF knows Martinez can be great" = opinion

"that’s why he wants him back" = opinion

"Martinez has had bad coaching the last 4 years" = likely fact

"with a new OC and QB coach that won’t be the case" = hopeful opinion supported by nothing.

"Martinez will be back to being a front runner for Heisman like he was before his sophomore year" = delusional opinion.

"Martinez is is close to breaking all the passing records in NU history". Verifiable fact. Another verifiable fact: He is also close to becoming the losingest QB in the 150+ year history of college football.

"We don’t want that guy in our program?" = depends on who you ask. Apparently we have zero depth at QB. That could have been alleviated by hitting the transfer portal 2 seasons ago as well as last season.
Breaking the passing records at Nebraska is not that impressive. We were never a passing team until the past 20 years. And he's started for 4 years now. It's not like he's beating out 200 years of other passing offenses like most programs.

I simply cannot believe some of you have watched AM fail for four seasons and want him back. It’s insane. He’s the guy that scrambles backwards for a safety. He’s the guy that always turns the ball over in critical situations. He’s the guy that NEVER gets the job done in crunch time possessions, he’s the guy that runs out of bounds when he could get a critical first down. He is not a winning QB and there has never been a QB with more statistical proof of that fact.
Frost has failed for four years. Do you want him back?

It would be hilarious if AM transfers and sets the world in fire
I think PJ Fleck, for one, would love to have Martinez for one year. I bet he would play pretty well in that system. I know that Fleck isn't stupid enough only use five pass blockers like Frost always does and fewer guys going out in routes would simplify things for Adrian. They would restrict Martinez quite a bit to cut down on the reckless mistakes.

Agree, the play calling is certainly odd.

Minnesota runs a RPO offense that doesn’t utilize the QB run game at all. Sitting back, making reads and throwing against a set zone defense, AM would be a disaster. But I’m sure PJ would somehow convince his followers it is actually elite play only possible because of some sort of great coaching and amazing boat rowing.
