I think there is a point here. And it is that Frost coming here may not have been as automatic as some think. The man had some serious, serious options. Really solid options. So solid that many, if not most, national pundits had him going to Florida, or Tennessee, or UCLA, or FSU, or even Oregon. Furthermore, Frost had to consider what his wife wanted, what his coaching staff wanted, and what was best for his own career. He had many factors to consider and so going to Nebraska, even if it was HIS desire, may not have been a slam dunk choice.
My point? What all this means is that Frost really did have a choice to make and HE CHOSE US. This was no emotional "I'm Coming Home, la da da" ******** with a running leap into the arms of dear old Nebraska U. He made a rational, deliberate, and adult choice, and he chose us. And I really mean it as well when I say we owe people like Osborne and Davison big time. As well as Moos. Frost wanted to know there were people here who had his back, who would give him time and resources.
So my original post was not intended to stir up pointless **** or to be gossipy. I think it is important to know: 1) Frost chose us from among many attractive options, and 2) Why he chose us.
