McBride's defense got torched maybe once a year on average, usually by a loaded team like Miami or FSU. So does Saban, so did Stoops, etc.

Chinander's defense gets torched by any offense with a pulse. I don't mind giving him one more year, but I can already hear the excuses next year - which will be that we are young and replacing half of our starters.

Hindsight is 20/20. At the time, we thought it was hell to go 9-3/10-2 every year but get embarrassed in every big game.
