Late 90's to 2000 - terrible seasons for Iowa but things started to change soon after that.

I don’t get the point spreads on some of these games and I do not bet
( grandfather was a bookie)
But seems like most times when the point spread seems too much or too little in a particular direction- seems like thats the direction that wins.
Kong seems to successfully use that strategy a bit on his picks

How many times do we have to relive this? Read Osbornes book more than winning. I never wanted Phillips back - he needed to be shut down, and we didn’t need him at all with Green, Benning, Childs, sims etc.we dominated without him. Phillips was a very abused orphan with zero support system. Osborne was trying to keep him in check- put him on right path. It’s something he wrote about- fatherless homes etc / See Osbornes team mates mentoring program. Would have been much easier to toss him - which is what my dad and I thought was right thing to do at the time.

Bet you watched your father or grandfather glued to the tv for those Nebraska football teams - we were of course the most-watched program in the state of iowa
