So what happened to Freeman being in the bag? This is sounding like another scenario of NIL leverage because Bama just signed a PF (Mississippi state kid, 6’10). Obviously they could easily slot him in as a backup, but still kinda odd.

Saying Rancik is ***. Complaining he "only" gets 5.6 boards per game, when that is more than anyone on this years team except Moreno with just over 6. Kid averaged over 12 ppg, shot 33% from three and 86% from the line. If you think thats "***" as a soph, you might want to stick to Rasslin analysis
40% from the field is worse than most 5’9 point guards. And the SEC is the most physical conference in NCAA. Dude is garbage.

Money isn’t the issue. We have offered them all more than anyone.
Matt Jones said that Robert Wright had no problem with the deal Kentucky was offering him, JMI, his agent didn't like the NIL deal so he told Wright to not take it. I'm paraphrasing but it's something to that effect. Lots of people blame Pope for missing out on players & that may be part of it, however, sounds like the JMI thing may be true? I really don't know but I wish someone could make them talk about the NIL stuff. Everyone says it works for football, well, maybe JMI thought they could make more money from controlling the basketball deals? Something has to change.

Bloomington is a great college town with many attractions for recruits. Indiana just won the Football Natty & Heisman Trophy. The coaches son greets them at the airport in a Benz SUV .Walking around the campus is a recruiting tool. Assembly Hall is legendary. Coaches let students show recruits around campus & local hot spots.
Ky has to drive them downtown to Empty Rupp & the to Racetrack where the BluBloods hang. If I’m a young millionaire in a new place - Where do I want to be.
Lexington is almost 3 times as large as Bloomington.

Players simply aren’t interested in what CMP is selling. We gotta accept that the most obvious problem is the answer.

There is no truth at all to JMI being a problem. if anything it's an asset. matt jones will do anything to blame JMI.

That might be the corniest thing I’ve ever witnessed. No wonder why you like Pope.
your crying is the corniest things I have ever witnessed. Are you going to cry into your alcohol tonight? You probably are going to worship your danny hurley poster. No wonder you don't like kentucky because you are a bandwagon fan. Only got good things to say when we are good.

Yea 6 players that if we had signed everyone would be panicking. Lots of schools have signed 0-1 people, top schools at that. There’s no panic for me when we are setting good with most of our top targets still. We actually miss on them all then I may worry but we have literally missed on one and he pivoted back to our option 1 and got him. The unreal pessimism and hatred on this board this week is kind of scary if you ask me. No one letting anything play out, I get this season sucked but we have a good chance at our best lineup in 7+ years.
I think Sherrell and Burton from ND are good signings.

Watched Colorado play a few games this year & they had 3 really good players - this kid - Johnson the guard who I believe signed with Texas - their 7ft beast Center who is also in the portal.
We need the “Colorado kid” - he fits Pope’s agenda. Think Andrew Carr 2.0
No superstars are coming to Ky but Blue Collar full contact 4 yr players will. Give me 5 Butlers, Amador,Williams & Goose‘s every time over 5 Shoe contract millionaire$.
Kentucky Will Abide.
Sounds good. Maybe we squeak out a berth in the Sweet 16.
