So true - Every thread becomes a F$$% Pope & Ky beotch session. 6 years of complaining about Cal & now 2 years of Pope bashing. I Love Ky basketball & will be a fan forever - no matter what the outcome. Pope will put together a 22 to 26 win team & make to the rd of 32 Again & will be the coach in 27 -28 trying to get to 100 wins in 4 years.
The difference between what the lower end players got $$$$ & what the 4 players at the top including JQ & Lowe were PAID, caused a lot of controversy this year. $$$$ -
A Lewis left because he got insulted because he got less than several players & Went to Villanova where he got more & equal money to most teammates. Pope should do the same - find 5 more guys like Goode or Radnik pay them $1 mil to $1.5 each & go win some games.

CMP has yet to prove he can get his first choice. Why is this so shocking? If CMP wants them, they’re likely not coming. That’s just the way it is with this coach.
I would hope if they're willing to throw that kind of money out there for Diallo, they'd be willing to bump it up for Freeman too. But it's scary if we're only recruiting head to head against everyone
Kentucky is being dominated by opposition coaches. Pope is just the messenger.
Football & many other sports been dominated by SEC TEAMS for decades. Playing in downtown Lexington & not on campus in front of rabid students hurts our brand.
I wouldn’t be so sure we saved on Zoom.
Edit: a million less for Zoom compared to Wright isn’t much of a save.

So, Arizona choosing two other PGs over Diallo had no effect on his decision to come crawling back? That fact seems to get in the way, too.
That’s not good enough for another year. There’d be riots considering how badly UK fans are peed off with the way things are going if he gets a 4th year with that poor of results. And I’m going to assume 18-22 wins and a first or second round exit and a Friday finish in the SEC.
Freeman has a history of getting injured, can you imagine the backlash in here if Pope overpays for him and he gets hurt and loses ANY time next year?
The same guys that are crushing Pope for not paying more to get him, will be scolding him for even recruiting him to come here.

Saying Rancik is ***. Complaining he "only" gets 5.6 boards per game, when that is more than anyone on this years team except Moreno with just over 6. Kid averaged over 12 ppg, shot 33% from three and 86% from the line. If you think thats "***" as a soph, you might want to stick to Rasslin analysis

Yea 6 players that if we had signed everyone would be panicking. Lots of schools have signed 0-1 people, top schools at that. There’s no panic for me when we are setting good with most of our top targets still. We actually miss on them all then I may worry but we have literally missed on one and he pivoted back to our option 1 and got him. The unreal pessimism and hatred on this board this week is kind of scary if you ask me. No one letting anything play out, I get this season sucked but we have a good chance at our best lineup in 7+ years.
He over paid for every damn player on the team last year and couldn’t make it out of the 2nd round! So we can pretty much guarantee he’s at it again this year!

Bloomington is a great college town with many attractions for recruits. Indiana just won the Football Natty & Heisman Trophy. The coaches son greets them at the airport in a Benz SUV .Walking around the campus is a recruiting tool. Assembly Hall is legendary. Coaches let students show recruits around campus & local hot spots.
Ky has to drive them downtown to Empty Rupp & the to Racetrack where the BluBloods hang. If I’m a young millionaire in a new place - Where do I want to be.
