This is really only a point worth making in order to discredit the messenger. If they haven’t been consistent in their criticism, then why should we take them seriously? Aren’t they really just saying this because they’re biased?
Unfortunately, people who make this kind of argument often are guilty of the same kind of hypocrisy in that they’re implying their own judgment depends on how consistent they perceive their partisan adversaries as being. Somehow they miss that the force of an argument against others’ hypocrisy is that we should all consistently judge what’s bad to be bad, despite partisanship, not that our partisanship is justified by theirs.
This is why it’s hard to take these kinds of criticisms of hypocrisy seriously. They’re usually just attempts to change the subject so that people won’t have to actually talk about whatever the latest weirdness is, while they excuse themselves for going along with it because the other side is just too bad to allow self-criticism.
It’s also particularly hard to take seriously in this case because many of the people who don’t like having UFC fights on the White House lawn did have a lot of criticism for all the progressive excesses of past Democrats. But people who are committed to not being self-critical have managed to convince themselves that every criticism of anything like this has to be from people in favor of, or at least tolerant of, progressive excesses. There’s an awful lot of space between UFC fights on the WH lawn and Tranny Easter Egg Rolls.

These events aren't televised on network or cable tv, you have to go to the WH youtube channel to see it, so it's not something they can claim is shoved down their throats because you have to want to see it to go to the web platforms that host them. Presidents host dozens of events for various groups so I'm not sure why people feel the need to evangelize about an event that isn't harming a soul. If blood sports are fine, this certainly should be too.
I personally didn’t have a problem with a celebration for a minority, as a quick event, that doesn’t deface the actual grounds more than have already been defaced. Understand you disagree. I was speaking specifically to what others had shared. I was comparing the “Michelle is a man” to the “trannies exposing themselves” situations. Which I do think the response to each or relevant. You are comparing UFC to pride celebration. Which I agree that we are going to have to agree to disagree on.
Many Americans would say a prayer event doesn’t belong at the WH. Period. Separation of church and state and all that. Many people of other religions are likely offended by it. But don’t think libs on here have said anything to my knowledge as it’s a small event for a group of Americans amongst many other events.
Why would we make a peep about an event we didn't see and wouldn't have known about without the fuss caused by the inappropriate guests? Why is hosting a Pride event wrong? A minority of 35% of Americans hold anti-lgbt views so why should their prejudices be catered to when not a soul is being harmed?
You're a lot more forgiving than I am. I'm of the opinion that it's possible to ignore literally any sort of content if a person wants to bad enough, and am happy everyone has the ability.

I hear ya, the part the worries me the most is the increasing hostilities towards minority groups due to the explosion of culture war social media accounts that attempt to paint "others" as the cause of everything that ills them. It has to be addressed head on IMO because it's starting to create a dangerous climate for a mostly peaceful people who just want to live their lives without harassment. They're literally putting targets on people's back due to their prejudices and it needs to stop before it goes too far.
If only those that were so fond of saying "follow the money" when they were looking for things to hate about Barack Obama would follow the money. We might find that despite our differences, we can find common ground in our dislike of being f@cked over by ultra rich sex criminals.
