Hope Frederick recovers and gets back healthy
Not the same sport but meanwhile....Tyler Boyd had a finger dislocation with bone popping through skin. He had surgery and missed zero time.
I’m not gonna sit here say he should be playing I have no idea, but if it’s his non-shooting hand you would think you could tape it to the other finger and roll with it that way, who knows at this point, it just shows that this season isn’t unfolding well at all

Everyone is different but the amount of times players in basketball dislocate fingers......seeing he's out a few weeks is kind of an eyebrow raiser.

Not a surprise. He can't stay healthy and was never going to be a big impact guy here. Now he can sit around and cheer on his basketball queen.
I could sarcastically say yeah, we're really gonna miss his 7 points a game but yeah, we really need all the points we can muster. Remember, Cal says he wants to score 80 a game...

This was the missing fuel to the fire we needed, another Calipari mystery injury that is going to linger on way longer than is initially let on. What are the odds we see him before mid February?

Shooting hand and I believe he did it passing the ball. That’s what it looked like on replay. How in the world do you do that?

Goodness gracious, Will Levis had a finger pointing 90 degrees the wrong direction and they just snapped it back into place and he kept playing. CJ is going to miss weeks? For a dislocated finger?
Seems like any of Cals players that have been injured always take twice as long to get back no matter how minor it may be, kind of odd.
I’ve reset my own finger dislocation before during a game and kept playing. That was 15 years ago and it healed all crooked but still.
Tape it up and play unless it's his thumb. Been there done that just like most people who have played a lot of basketball.

Yea but now he has an excuse for losing. Just like late last season when the team fell apart we found out about all the injuries. Still don’t know if I buy that. Just seemed like another excuse to get the fans off his back, especially a year after 9-16.
Right. It really doesn't matter what hand it is either. But again, each person's tolerance is different. We had a guy who needed 5 stitches to close a cut in eyebrow this week, and he was back in before the game after concussion check by onsite trainer. Then we had a kid who missed the same game after bumping knees with a teammate at practice Monday. Everyone is different.
CJ Fredrick is a good player. But his injury history is one that had to be factored into his recruitment/whether you pursued him. We all discussed this way back when name was floated out. Now it's playing out as it's been. At some point your availability or lack of it, matters as much as what you do when you are on the court.
Don't think this can be used. If anything Fredrick's history of injuries can be brought up as a lack of evaluation by Cal/Staff. It isn't like he had one major thing..it's been every year since he's been in CBB.

Right. Just saying.....we can only go off what we're told. I don't blame anyone who is skeptical though.
