these schools are desperate...unless they play each other, why would any quality school play them

they are not a tourney team and the resume is weak

Imagine being the last team that didn’t get in because Xavier who carapped the bed beat St. Louis once and then a 2nd time when they were disinterested

i actually like it. it is a strange year and they are trying to find games. It is probably a good idea for the 4 or 6 bubbles teams not playing anymore to schedule the games. get two more wins or so. It would be the second four to the first four

I could see this catching on — teams at the top of the bubble playing each other right before the tournament starts, almost like an unofficial first round of the tournament. Hell, you could play those games in the same location every year too to really make a show of it!

They'd have to play before the tournament gets announced on Sunday.

It will only work for bubble teams that lose on Wednesday/Thursday
