Freaking bizarre

[RU72]

Xavier is looking to schedule 1-2 games this weekend to enhance its slumped resume. Weird.

[bac2therac]

St Louis a possibility?

these schools are desperate...unless they play each other, why would any quality school play them

they are not a tourney team and the resume is weak

[RUPete]

Who would even agree to that? Do they have enough money to make it happen?

[Greene Rice FIG]

st. louis and xavier met on match.com. set them up for 2 dates

[Sweet Pea's Corner]

Can't the NCAA see through this?

Can't the NCAA see through this?

I asked BAC and he said no.

maybe I asked the wrong species.

SP would know.

[Doctor Worm]

Can't the NCAA see through this?

Nothing to see through. Totally legitimate, as long as they don't exceed the maximum number of allowable games, which I assume they are not.

[Greene Rice FIG]

Imagine being the last team that didn’t get in because Xavier who carapped the bed beat St. Louis once and then a 2nd time when they were disinterested

[ClassOf02v.2]

Yeah sorry....if you crap the bed in your conference tournament while very much on the bubble, you should not be able to try to make up for that.

i actually like it. it is a strange year and they are trying to find games. It is probably a good idea for the 4 or 6 bubbles teams not playing anymore to schedule the games. get two more wins or so. It would be the second four to the first four

[bac2therac]

Both schools severely effected by Covid

[PSAL_Hoops]

No problem with it this given the year. It’s kind of like those bracket buster games from forever ago.

[bac2therac]

Saint Louis may actually be better off not playing

maybe Cuse will want to play

[PSAL_Hoops]

Drake?

I could see this catching on — teams at the top of the bubble playing each other right before the tournament starts, almost like an unofficial first round of the tournament. Hell, you could play those games in the same location every year too to really make a show of it!

They'd have to play before the tournament gets announced on Sunday.

It will only work for bubble teams that lose on Wednesday/Thursday

It takes 3 dates to "close the deal".

sorry, I was just explaining the first four in Dayton lol

[toby83]

more games to bet on let's make this happen

[AreYouNUTS]

Not a fan of this at all. Too bad; you sit out this year.

[bac2therac]

Teams can play 2x in one day

7 inning doubleheaders?

[ScarletDave]

Play in games to the play in game??
