Dress him , start him , play him , assuming he isnt injured . We lose to UT our resume is harmed very badly . If the kid can go .. play him.
I'll just side with whatever the medical staff, Cal, and Fox think.
A loss to Tennessee hurts us more than a loss to Kansas would. If Fox can play at a high level without significant risk of hurting it further, play him.
I trust Cal. If he's even the least bit injured, he won't play and shouldn't.

A win over Kansas is more important than a win over Tennessee in regards to our chances at a #1 seed

A win over Kansas means nothing if we don't beat UT. After all we could use a good road win.. We don't have many left. I consider this one of the better opportunities given our history against UT.
If he's able to go he needs to. This isn't Cleveland state in November. This is an important game

A win vs KU/loss vs UT actually might be better than a KU loss/ UT win
They always value the wins more. ALWAYS. UT has an RPI of 60 so it wouldn't really be considered a "bad" loss
You don't understand how computer rankings work if you believe this.
We can lose a few SEC games and still get a one seed as long as we beat Kansas. 30-4 with a win over Kansas and we will almost certainly be a 1. 30-4 and no win over Kansas then maybe we are a 1, but very possibly a 2.
I know how valuable road wins are though. Conference games IMO are more important. Need to win the conference first and foremost
Actually I've found zero evidence whatsoever in all the years I've looked at tournament seeding that home/road does in fact matter.
They certainly don't value is like they should.
Look at California last year......7 wins over top 50 RPI...........they got a 4 seed. Committee didn't even bother to care that 6 of those wins were at home. The other on a neutral court.

UTenn is a game above 500 and 2-4 in their last 6....without the leading scorer. Not sure why you guys are that worried about the 8th place team in the SEC. Everything I've read says Fox's ankle injury is minor and no swelling------don't see why he wouldn't play tonight but if it is bothering him than I see no risk in sitting him. UK's C squad should have this one sealed up.

Because SEC road games are notoriously, and proven, tough to win. SEC has ranked in the top3 in conference like 6 of the last 7 years for home wins. Much more favorable whistle for the home team. I haven't been confident for years now, anytime Cal/Kentucky go on the road in the SEC. We win? Take that W and get the heck out, and maybe thank the basketball Gods.
If the medical staff says he is good to go then I would play him. If you remember when he left the game Saturday evening he was walking around fine. He had a slight limp but overall he came out and tried to run up and down 2 or 3 times. He didn't look that bad except for the slight limp he had from turning the ankle. There was no swelling in the ankle at all so that helps the healing process in the ankle. I think both he and Coach Cal explained it like it was a stinger. I had never heard it explained that way with having a stinger in the ankle but that is what both Coach Cal and Fox said and both said there was no swelling in the ankle. I think most fans and experts get worried when we see the boots on and crutches. It seems now in NCAA Basketball that any player that hurts their foot or ankle they automatically put boots on ASAP and use crutches to keep the weight off the foot and ankle. I say if everyone including the Medical team and coaches say he is ok to go then I would I play him. They say with ankles it is better to get up and get right back on floor and continue to play and that helps the ankle or foot to heal faster. If Fox starts and still doesn't seem to be 100% then rotate him in and out and not play 36-40 minutes. These are young kids and they can bounce right back a lot quicker and with this game being in Tennessee and Kentucky always having a tough game here I would hope Fox gets to play.
Road games are tough. A .500 Vandy team took us to the wire.
If he's healthy I give him game action for continuity but limit his minutes.

If he is able to go out in practice and practice hard and cut and all of that then sitting him for this game won't help anything. If he isn't able to do those things in practice then he doesn't need to be in a game and resting him would be the better option. Simple answer is if he can go full speed and is going full speed in practice then there is no reason that he can't go full speed in a game. He isn't really any more or less likely to get hurt in one or the other. If he is just taking it lightly in practice then don't push it and wait until he is closer to 100% and can play full speed.
There are a lot of good points on here, not sure what I would do, If he has been examined by the team doctor and he gives the ok, I would play him. But on the other hand what if he tweaks it again while it is a little weak maybe. I don't know. He will know real quick whether he can go hard or not, guess we will see.
