Says a lot about this team’s turnaround that this spread is only 4 points. If this game was played two weeks ago, a spread of 10 wouldn’t have surprised me.

Every oddsmaker I looked up, had the opening line a -4

I was going by a tweet sent out at 6pm.

@KySportsRadio: Florida opens as a 1 point favorite over Kentucky

Looks like the tweet has been deleted, and facts are optional.

Line just moved up to UK + 5.5.

With UF's depleted front court, what has the bettors dropping more money on the Gators?

Is it our youth and inconsistent play on the road?

Cats have to play their A game to leave with a W. No silly turnovers and they have a great chance.

That line is complete garbage. IMO I can understand UF a favorite by a pt or 2 at most . 5.5 is complete disrespect though I never pay any attention to Vegas.

Vegas has been far off on a ton of the UK games this year. I wouldn’t read much into it. In the current 4 game win streak we are covering the spread by a combined 54 points. That’s 13.5 points better than the spread on average. That trend continues and we win by 8-9 today.

Vegas has nothing to do with it, other than the opening line. The people that bet are what drives the movement of the line.

Same thing happened with the Ole Miss game if you remember, very odd thing to see.It doesn't make sense onthe surface but I'm sure there is a reason.Yes I know money moves the lines but the reason for the shift is the question.

Something to consider. This year in UK games the Vegas spread has been off by 10+ points 8 times, 5-9 points 13 times, 1-4 points 7 times and exactly on 2 times.

So 27% of the time the spread was 10+ points off and 70% of the time 5+ points off.
