You would really have to try hard to be wrong at a higher clip than you've been in this thread.

Well, I said I called BS unless a link was provided, and it was....so thanks....haha. I’ll eat that crow. Honestly I did google it but I guess I picked the wrong search criteria.

It says 10% of the regular season, so would that mean he also has to miss the first quarter of the KSU game? And, I still say having a more lenient policy for one illegal drug than another is kind of stupid and hypocritical, even though I know basically everyone has a similar policy.

If it’s university policy, it should be posted clearly on the athletics department or MSU website as to what the penalties are for each drug test failure (as well as any other legal infraction). As far as us having a defined policy for how many games a student athlete misses in every sport for each successive drug test failure for each specific drug, I’m gonna go ahead and call BS on that unless you can provide a link. The athletic department sanctions the testing, but each individual coach is responsible for administering penalties. Only thing on MSU’s website is a link to NCAA banned drugs, which simply calls out “street drugs”.

Hopefully the 17 page PDF is "defined" enough for you.

Who on their o line is going to block our D line?

Our defensive line is really good and I expect them to win this battle, but using Kansas State's offensive line to support your 'hot garbage' argument just shows that you know absolutely nothing about their football team. Their OL is at least really good, and probably one of the better units in the country......all 5 of their starters were selected to the Big 12 All-Conference Team and both of their OT's are expected to be drafted.

You do realize KSU had one of the worst defenses in the nation last year, right? If we score only 17 points on KSU then it's going to be a 6 win year.

You must live in Big 12 country too to know this secret that no one on here knows. You know... things like they lost to Vanderbilt?

Since 2011, the Big 12 is 12-17 vs the SEC (and 1-0 vs MSU). Not exactly a garbage record vs the best conference in college football. KSU doesn't need me to pump them up. They're a solid football program. We should win this game, but to say they're garbage is just ridiculous.

Your examples are not just team rules violations, they're illegal. Whether they should be illegal is entirely another matter.

Point being?

They are illegal things that much or most of the team (and undergrads in general) are guilty of from time to time.

It's probably not unreasonable to expect that players don't get DUI's or arrested for assault during the off season every single season. It's probably not reasonable to expect to have have 80 something college students avoid having a single incident involving alcohol or pot for 8 months of the year. If you see a team without suspensions the first game, it's not taht their players aren't having incidents, it's that they are not punishing with something other than a game suspension.

I trust Fitz will be ready for Kansas State... he seems to have a certain swagger about him this season and confidence. I don't really think missing a half of football is gonna effect him that much. I have a feeling that Nick will have a better year than any QB in our history

How many of those 12 wins are games like Oklahoma beating crappy UT teams. Overall record does not always indicate a strength depending on matchups.

The college version of the NBA? That's such a garbage take. The good NBA teams all play defense. The ones who don't, generally don't win.

I didn't make my point clear but it doesn't matter. I never said they were a garbage team, they are a decent Big 12 team and the Big 12 puts all their emphasis on scoring, as does the NBA. Teams like the Warriors win because they score A LOT. That's all I meant. Yes, the good teams play defense but people don't go to NBA games to see the defense, they go for 3's and dunks.

KSU does not return 9 on offense and 9 on defense who played against competition that would make a Big 12 team crumble. They have a good line, but their 5 did not play against the SECW and that will show as the game progresses.

Guys, I'm sorry that I'm focusing more on the team we have than the team they have. Could they upset us? Sure. But think about how this team played down the stretch last year. Toe to Toe with Bama in spite of Mullenz shrinking back into his foreskin, nearly beating Ole Miss with our backup QB and throttling Louisville and their NFL 1st round QB.

So y'all forgive me if I have confidence in our team. They 17ing earned it.
