I really don't understand why we're revisiting this issue. Fitz was wrongfully terminated and, as a result, was paid in excess of 100 million dollars. Those are the facts.

As I have said many times before, hazing is a useless term. In the NBA, rookies have to carry vets bags. Clearly hazing. Also clearly not a fireable offense. Another example is NFL rookies have to perform a skit in front of the team. Also clearly hazing.

So to answer your question, did hazing occur.? Almost certainly it did. Was it in line with what I described above or whatever the shriek clap is? I think based on the facts tgat have come to light (the “whistleblower” is a lunatic, Fitz got a huge settlement and hired at a BIG school) point to the former.

Fitz got fired by our President because he ignored- or perhaps encouraged- sexualized hazing that started in the late 1990s.

You almost single handedly chased almost all of the regular posters to the Rock. Nobody wants to continually hear about a strong as bull 280 lb man getting sprayed by a cold water hose in the shower and being scarred for his future years.

Who was 280 pounds? Loren Howard? Barry Cofield? They got hazed too, albeit minimally. Loren even got preferential treatment IIRC. He did too much juice and had too much anger for the older guys to want to try to fight. Ask around, ask around.

I was 320 pounds as a freshman. Rick McDole was 335. Nick Ritter was 300.

We got hazed until we proved we belonged.

Others? They got hazed until they left the program.

For the record: Lou doesn’t even remember me. Cappy does: we were both in McCormick together after I quit the team, and I attained some measure of happiness as a Northwestern Engineering student.

KOMP is coming whether The Rock likes it or not. It (probably) won’t kill me like CTE, guilt, and money troubles have killed other former Cats. But, whenever GOD needs another angel, God can call me home and my family will be just fine here on Earth.
