I assume you love capitalism...isn't one of the core tenets of capitalism to "capitalize" on market conditions? Were there not favorable market conditions during a massive pandemic caused by a novel virus to warrant pharma companies rushing vaccines for huge profit? Is this not capitalism at its finest? Either government or corporate produces 1 billion shots. There was a market for a billion shots at the time...that market should be met as soon as possible. Safety has never been a top priority for business.

I am just so confused by this board. 99% are staunch capitalists...but most of these people hate corporate money grabs, but they also hate communism, socialism, and big government...so does everyone just want a mom and pop corner drug store producing our vaccines?

They could've told the truth and told us not to overdo the ivermectin. But nope, the media and the government had to scare the public, tell them to forget Ivermectin - just do the shot. The shot is the cure all. In fact, we are going to require the shot. You call that capitalist?

I took the Trump vaccine because I had to 2x to keep employment. I signed up for the trial but it didnt work out. Felt pretty awful the day after shot 2 but it was nothing compared to how bad I felt last year after both Shingles shots. It felt like my skin was on fire and the fully body aches were brutal. You and I agree on most things. The measles vaccine I have pretty strong feelings about. I’m trained In epidemiology and measles vaccine is IMO one of the most important vaccines you can give your kid. Measles is potentially a horrible disease.

Have you even looked at the rate of measles pre and post vaccination roll out? Not to mention all the other diseases there are vaccines for? They were in steep decline before the roll out and the rates were hardly affected after. Your contention is directly refuted by the data.

And the return of measles outbreaks in the rising number of unvaccinated kids means nothing to you? I have a friend in his 70s now who was sterile because of measles infection as a kid. Yeah most kids recover but many end up with persistent CNS and other organ disease including loss of vision.

The problem with your theory is that you have an epidemic withsomething like measles and you develop a population of immune survivors. It returns to an endemic level until the number of unexposed kids reaches a level that makes another epidemic possible. It’s pretty clear that the measles is problem now in unvaccinated subgroups. I don’t worry for my safety. I worry about kids who could be protected from a horrible virus. Look up the necropsy photos of the organs of animals that have died from a paramyxovirus. The lesions on livers, spleens and lungs are horribble

Fauci and his minions have severely injured the credibility of the CDC. Distrust of your government is legitimate. I don’t blame people for some of the mistrust. I have a doctor friend whose father was a Dr and gave him the first version of the Salk polio vaccine. It actually gave him the disease and he spent over a year in an iron lung. He survived but has struggled with the after effects of that first vaccine which was not attenuated enough. The second version probably saved hundreds of thousands of lives and prevented similar numbers of people from being crippled. He is a tremendous man and was a great cardiologist. My wife’s mentor to a large degree.

I’m 68. He’s in his late 70s. There was a story about a woman who just died and she had spent her whole life in an iron lung supposedly. Don’t know if that was factual or not. The illegals aren’t helping but it's been an issue in some religious sects for years. Post COVID and with the anti-vaccine big pharma movement, there’s a larger population of susceptible people. The world is so much more mobile to begin with but no doubt the flooding of our borders by thousands of young unvaccinated people has subjected us to an onslaught of measles and tuberculosis.
