Thank God for Flinn N. A couple of years ago we would have let that drop and they would down it at the one.
As much as we mocked that campaign, I miss that production and a true scrambling spread offense.
It is hard to say if they OL is
1)not given the proper off season conditioning for the kind of strength a Lineman needs or
2) if they are not properly coached in technique or footwork (that was the rap against Vitabile our four year starter at center).
3) Are not allowed to jell as a unit because the staff doesn't name the lineup during spring practice.
I think the OL is a unique unit and it takes many facets to build their culture. I don't know that any one on staff has a good concept of how to build a successful OL culture.
Don't get too happy about stopping our O. It may even lull your guys into complacency next week.
And the PSU D isn't the first defense we've struggled against, unfortunately. We just have a putrid, boring offense.
I appreciate that you are being friendly, but this is the same NU offense that couldn't move the ball against 0-5 Nevada. This is a bad, bad offense.
What happened? I thought that NW was going to be in the conversation for the West division this year (in preseason)? I admittedly have not watched them until today
We thought Clayton Thorson and especially the o-line would improve, instead they have regressed.
