I said we could probably go back further if you would like to... would you like to?
Sure. Be sure to pick your dates carefully in order to project him in the worst light possible though. Everyone already knows that is your goal.

How do we actually know who made that call? We don't. I thought at the time that it looked like it may have been a head coach overrule. Which would open a whole new can of worms. But the fact is -- Cohen has been hands off on the pitching staff practically since day 1 here. And Butch has been elite. Pat consistently blames Cohen every time there is a blip on the radar with the pitching staff here. I don't remember Cohen getting any credit when that same staff was elite. It's not a congruent viewpoint. It's the non congruence that I am taking issue with.
defend 7 years of jackass base running. 7 years of making the first out at home..or are you going to be like todd and try and argue that it does not matter what out it is at the plate , first or third, an out is an out?
Engle....If you take away his first two years as you insist, Cohen still has a losing SEC record (just over the past five years). So are you saying that a losing record in SEC games over seasons 3 through 7 is acceptable to you? It's not to me!
And I don't know where you got the 30-20 vs Bianco record. Bianco leads Cohen 18-11 over the past seven years. I guess you were throwing in the early years when they were coaching against each other in Louisiana.
This team is quite a bit different if you add the power hitters we have lost in the draft the last couple of years. We'll see where we are next year and go from there.
Throw out Cohen's first 2 years here and he's 72-73 in sec play
Is this supposed to be a "fire the coach" statistic?
Nah. I'm for keeping him for another year. Just stating a fact. Cohen has been good, but hardly great here. '13 was special, but I'm not sure he can repeat it.
You are not sure he can repeat arguably the best season in MSU history?
I don't get how his ability to get somewhere he's already been can be questioned -- especially when we are finally starting to stack the deck into his favor...
He's made the cws 1 time in 12 years. It remains to be seen if he can repeat that.
He's had 7 losing sec seasons in 12 including this year, so we know he can repeat that
Again a disingenuous stat seeking to project Cohen as negatively as possible. 3 losing SEC seasons in 8 years in the fair projection of his reality. In one of those "losing seasons" he still won a regional and was 5 outs away from taking out a national title finalist on their home field. Fact is -- even with this shitshow -- after two of the biggest rebuilding jobs(in UK's case not even a rebuild -- a build), Cohen has averaged 40 wins per year for his career.
I think Cohen is good and want him to get a shot next season, but he's hardly irreplaceable
Bianco has made regionals 12 of his 14 years at OM without any mulligan years. Bianco kills Cohen when it comes to hosting. Bianco operates under the same scholarship issues in miss that Cohen does. Bianco hasn't even come close to a shitshow like this and this will be Cohen's 3rd in 7 years.
I think Cohen is good and want him to get a shot next season, but he's hardly irreplaceable
So that is what this is really about -- Bianco.
Well I can't lie... I don't like being 2nd best baseball program in this state
How do you feel about being 3rd?

I'm just looking at the current RPI. We didn't do all that well head to head with them either. It's sad that this is even arguable, I agree.
For the time being Dallas Baptist, yes, might have a better baseball team than LSU. You better believe if we actually find that out on the field Manieri's seat will make Cohen's look ice cold in comparison. And it should.
I would glady argue state of the "program" if you like. Shall we consider the ground rules? Can't count first two seasons and can't count seasons since the ball change. Am I doing this right?
Ha. That seems to be the way it works for a couple of Cohen supports. Unbelievable the blind support Cohen has with a few.I would glady argue state of the "program" if you like.
