Looks like having a shoot-a-round outside in Michigan stadium has worked out. Michigan on fire from 3

That’s a really good point. We’ve had a couple of paths paved for us when Cal was here and he crapped the bed.

Definitely. In 2018 we had the 9 seed K-State to get to the elite eight against 11 seed Loyola and we blew it.

In 2019 we played a team in Auburn that we beat by 100 a few weeks earlier that had a starter go down in the game before only to blow in in OT.

And in 2022 the St Peter's loss eas devestating when two teams we drilled during the regular season ended up making the title game.

We've had some chances for sure.

They just got down early and couldn’t play good enough to catch back up. Never mind the fact that Michigan seems like they are making everything.
Lloyd had no answers. The players just quit playing any semblance of team ball and started just throwing up trash shots. This was sad, sad, sad. Michigan fans should be embarrassed. They were in the FF and got absolutely routed without an answer.

Apropos of nothing, did anyone watch the Spurs/Nuggets game today. The refs were letting everything go except Wemby got Jordan rules. They were literally hugging Jokic and no call. I like letting them play, but it was football not basketball.....and they still put up crazy numbers.

AZ has no shooters other than drive it into the paint and score or draw a foul. Or, in the case tonight, get it taken away or throw slop to the rim.

They know what they have in Wemby. He's the NBAs ticket. Jordan, LeBron, Wemby. If he stays healthy, hes a transcendent player. He can guard 1-5, block shots in tons, and hit 3s. He's Anthony Davis on an entirely different level.

I really hate how the Spurs landed him. Not their first time they magically got the #1 pick. But oh well.

Joker should be MVP, btw. First player to lead the league in rebounds and assists. Unreal.

Well, I'm going to watch Auburn and Oklahoma in the finals of their respective tournaments tomorrow. Might turn on the women's championship for a bit and get ready for what should be a good one on Monday.

Then we'll close the book on a disappointing season and get ready for next year. Seven long months.

If UConn wins, it will be seven months of hell.

If Michigan wins, It will be less hell.

I hope they can run over UConn.

Hopefully, after this performance by Arizona we don't get told that we need to hire Lloyd. He is sitting over there looking lost and his team has quit.
I’ve been ridiculed over and over here for saying Lloyd isn’t an elite coach. At least when it comes to tournament play, he isn’t. He’s a choke artist. Isn’t difficult to understand. Arizona is every bit as talented as Michigan. Also, Arizona is like a 37% shooting team from 3. Why didn’t they shoot more of them?

Also can we talk about the utter disrespect towards Aaron Harrison for almost never being mentioned among the great buzzer beaters? In my mind, the only one ahead of him was Kris Jenkins cause that was to WIN the title. Aaron Harrison is for sure ahead of Mullins and Laetner when you consider how insane THREE buzzer beaters in a row is.

I’ve always thought that this was really interesting. Rarely have they played those THREE consecutive buzzer beater replays during the tournament since that season. Nothing to see here, though. 🙄 You can’t tell me the media isn’t biased as hell.

Lloyd made no adjustments. His players were completely out of sync and looked like a team that hadn't played together at all. Everyone keeps saying that the secret to winning is having a championship coach. Lloyd sat there and watched an epic meltdown and had no answer. I wanted Arizona to win but it was obvious that one coach had his team ready and other coach was off in la-la land.

Lloyd was doing his best impersonation of Dean Smith who admitted that his goal was to get to the FF. After that, he didn't really put the effort into preparing the team. That is why he choked away so many opportunities.

Yep! I should’ve known better than to take Arizona to win it all. Thought maybe the talent would win out over poor coaching. Hell, Purdue had them beat as well. Then they just went full retard. I can’t believe how “bad” of a 3 point shooting team they are.
