I see where the NCAA is taking steps to speed up the football games. Here is my thoughts...fwiw....reduce the time for 'change of possession' and also...do something about the 'fake injures'. Fake injures are pathetic. Relative to the 'flops' in college basketball.

Football is a violent sport we can all Agree on that. It’s hard to say “fake injury” when so many collisions and violence on each and every play.

with that said to me the easiest and most logical solution to “stop fake injuries” is to implement a rule that says if you leave the field for an injury you cannot return until your teams next series.

You make it that and only players with real
Injuries will leave or pretend to be injured for the sake of slowing down the clock.

It seems like a very rational and simple fix to curb the problem and eliminate any doubt.

Why won’t they do this?

Thoughts?

Faking injuries should be dealt with but I don't think they have much to do with the length of the game in most cases. Taking away tv timeouts after punts and kickoffs would help. But college football sold its soul for money a long time ago so I doubt that happens. Maybe they can run the game clock at 1.5X speed like I do Youtube videos.

If Ferentz were in charge, he'd change the play clock to 2 minutes instead of 40 seconds.

During an injury timeout the players on the field should not be allowed to go to the sidelines and talk to the coaches.

Good idea but if I were an opposing coach I would simply have my 3rd string guy go out and fake an injury and then if you pull him out for a series, big deal, I'll just put my starter back in..

During an injury timeout the D should have to do 20 burpees per minute.

Never thought of that but yes I’m sure if there is a will someone will find a way
