MSU in their house isn’t going to be easy.

I think MSU held up well in the trenches, it was raining a bit, maybe that factored into ND play calling....But wasnt like ND was breaking chunk plays off .... ND ran 43 times for a 3.7 average ...ND got a few deep passes, hopefully we can test them with some deep passes....

I think MSU held up well in the trenches, it was raining a bit, maybe that factored into ND play calling....But wasnt like ND was breaking chunk plays off .... ND ran 43 times for a 3.7 average ...ND got a few deep passes, hopefully we can test them with some deep passes....

UND gave us problems at times in the run game. MSU will be tougher by quite a bit.

Jordan Hall LB #5 for Sparty is a stud. He’s easily a top 3 LBs Rhule has faced while at Nebraska. Probably 3rd behind Abdul Carter who went #3 in the draft at Penn State and Tommy Eischenberg who won the Butkus for Ohio State in 2023.

Michigan State defense is scary good. Luckily their offense is average at best and their QB and RBs aren’t great.

What's obvious is they haven't faced a P4 opponent. A $30 million roster should be able to control the game against a P6/FCS opponent. Seem to be a lot of P4 teams that look like Goliath until they face another even average P4 team. I'm expecting every conference game to be a rock fight, unless we get boatraced by a playoff contenter. The good news is that outside of tOSU and Indiana, the rest of our future opponents have looked pretty average at times.

I'm taking a wait and see on Aurich, the D seems to be gelling. Nebraska has a bad habit of making marginal and second string QBs look like Davey O'Brien candidates.

The real season starts Saturday. First 3 games were the equivalent of NFL preseason. This Saturday is the first real opportunity to be exposed and humbled. What I want to see is that we not only win, but that we also look like clearly the better team doing it. On D, show capability to stop the run and get off the field. On O, score at least mid 20’s with a couple long TD drives. On ST, stop sucking.

Not a fan. Absolutely hate them for going to the games. They always mess up hunting (although I do admit listening to the game in between spots is nostalgic). Youth sports are often a problem.

Give me a late afternoon or night game every time.
