Yeah I guess the same would be said about every GM in the NBA if they had the number 1 pickThe 76ers continue to show their front-office acumen if they take Simmons first.
Hahaha I will believe that when I see it![]()
hope they can trade Okafor and draft either Dunn or Murray. Embiid been cleared to scrimmage..76ers on the way back!!!
Trying to be positive..last few years been rough. With that said, i agree with you.Hahaha I will believe that when I see it
Sixers should shop Simmons
Simmons cant shoot he is not the clear cut number one.
Just trying to draft talent and throw them together is not a strategy. No one knows how these guys will play together or if they even really complement each other. 76ers will be horrible for a long long time. The NBA is very concerned, they basically implanted their own expert to help them dig out of this hole.
Given the top draft picks they have had, there is NO ONE another team would covet. They are stuck with unproven players. Simmons is a big risk, he doesn't have the mentality to be the "guy". Heck we have all questioned Lebron's mentality of being the "guy" and he is unreal.
76ers strategy has been pathetic.
The number #1 pick shouldn't be someone you think needs to "develop" a shot or "start" playing Defense. The only real deal #1 picks generally have scouts convinced they can do most of those things day 1...and when have you all seen the potential #1 seed give up in games or a season like Simmons did last year.
they took it very slow with embiid. odds are still against him having a career where he's available for 65+ games year in and year out IMO, but if he does manage to stay healthy, he's damned near as talented as KAT
if embiid can't get/stay healthy, and they're not dumb, they still have simmons and noel at the 4 & 5--two extremely fast big players who can play pick and roll together
just please god get rid of okafor he's such a drain on everything

I take issue with this considering Embiid hasn't played one NBA game, and KAT just had a historic rookie season and is one of the most polished overall players in the league already. Towns is a dominant mid-range player in the NBA, handles the ball really well for a big (and has the ability to take it coast to coast), is a very good passer, and has shown the ability to dominate the low post as well. Also one of the very best rebounders in the league, is a double-double machine and had a couple of occasions where he came incredible close to getting triple-doubles.
All that said, and Embiid hasn't even scored 1 point in the NBA. So yes, I take issue with that sentiment.
Anyway, I think Ben Simmons will be 10 times the cancer that Okafor is, regardless of talent. Arguably a worse shooter than Okafor too, which is bad.

Simmons is basically Evan Turner 2.0, except less likeable. Given their roster, Ingram is the much better pick.
uh, incorrect
turner is 6'7 and slow
simmons is 6'10 and faster than f--king westbrook in a sprint
he goes by people. turner didn't. neither does ingram
simmons is a no brainer at #1

his 3/4 court sprint time from the lsu combine was faster than westbrook
