Wrong again as usual, however the fact you do absolutely nothing to support the program and feel the need to complain about the team only shows how shallow and petty you are in addition to being a cheap dumb a-s.

Honestly, I'd just put you on ignore, but your delusion that you're actually doing something is just too much to pass on. "A fool and his money are parted" , but it takes a real idiot, too just keep doing it over, and over again.

Who here honestly believes Emely will still be on this roster next year? Exactly. No one.

If we are being real, that was a recruiting miss. It happens. But at this level, evaluation has to be sharper than that. You cannot afford swings and misses when roster spots are limited and the margin in this conference is thin.

Hopefully this is a lesson in talent evaluation, projection, and fit. Not just who looks good on paper, but who actually translates to winning basketball in this system. The next recruiting cycle has to reflect that adjustment.

You are a fool if you think Coach Jensen isn't evaluating how her transfer portal adds went, particularly Emely. Listen to Coach Jensen at her press conferences- she is constantly thinking about the best way to build and motivate her team.

She missed on Harpring, Bjorn and Lewis. Major misses this recruiting cycle. Had a chance to put together one of the best recruiting classes ever at Iowa, fresh of the success of the Caitlin Clark era. People will realize how big of a deal that was in the coming years.

Ok? Jensen didn't choose to miss on those recruits. And you don't know why they made their decisions to go elsewhere. What is your point?

Did Jan miss on them or did they miss on Jan? I don't know the answer to that because I was not involved with their discussions.

My point is if Jan wants to return Iowa to the sweet 16 or even sniff the elite 8 she is going to have to recruit at a very high level. I think McKenna was a good start, but she needed at least two quality wins in this last recruiting class. Lewis was a big miss.

Taylor McCabe flew across the country with the team for the UCLA/USC games.

I'm pretty darn sure she is too injured to play, but was capable of sleeping in a bed away from home.
Don't jump into the conversation because clearly you're also a moran.. Absolutely terrible comparison. These posts believing that her back is actually day-to-day shows the low IQ of posters on these forums.

What are you even talking about? They're likely getting to the sweet 16 or elite 8 this year.

Sweet Sixteen is best case IMO. This team missed McCabe a lot.
I still see Sweet 16 as the floor and Elite 8 as a ceiling, and that's where I've pretty much been for months. The team definitely misses McCabe, but not necessarily for her offense. Stremlow is a better overall player today due to her more varied offensive skillset. Unlike McCabe, she's a 3 level scorer and even her 3 point shooting percentage is 70 points higher than McCabe in conference play. Now it's a function of utilizing her skillset alongside CCW and KF in the most effective manner.

Lol. You can’t be serious.
So clearly you're not a Jensen fan. Look, we rolled out the red carpet for all the recruits and we didn't land them. And guess what? We haven't landed these type of players since the Vivien Stringer days. It's kind of similar to the George Raveling days in case you haven't noticed. That's over 40 years. And as @Jonesy5960 said we're in line for a 3-4 seed and will be playing in all likelihood 2 games at Carver in front of 15K fans where we rarely lose to lower seeded teams. We've got a great culture. Do you think if Bluder had stayed she would have landed those 3 girls? Or any more of the top recruits?

I never claimed to know anything about you other than your apparent lack of knowledge regarding womens basketball and your disdain for Jan Jensen. Other than that you're a complete mystery. 😃
Well that would be a claim wouldn’t…? My lack of knowledge… You don’t know what my knowledge level is about anything frankly.

Iowa has been to the sweet 16 (or better) 5 times over the last 30 years. 3 of those with the greatest player in women's college basketball history. Barring an abysmal turnover game or an injury to Chit Chat they'll be in the sweet sixteen again this year. Recruiting and the transfer portal aren't fantasy sports free agency where you just get to pick who you want. The traditional blue bloods will always get their first choice, Iowa being able to snag a top 100 recruit (or 2) each year is about as good as it's going to get. Add the complimentary pieces and let the games be played.

My intuition tells me she gets along with the girls but maybe bumps heads with Jan. I don’t think sitting on the bench and observing Iowa’s system would hurt her if she redshirted and played 3 years at Iowa just delaying a year. Think of how many times the coaches said great things about Emely but “she’s still adapting to our system” and “still needs time.” I’m more optimistic but I hope they will at least announce she’s redshirting soon. The hesitation on that makes me think she might go into the portal which means Iowa will need 2-4 in the portal at least for next season.

I actually fine with how anyone chooses to spend their own income. Its the sanctimonious twits like Rico, who need to be called out. Why should it be anyone's right to be critical of how someone else on the forum spends their income, or to berate them because they have a different view of the validity of what this "pay for play", (and that's all this is) has become and where its heading.

My guess is ER is done playing for Iowa. I watch her demeanor on the sidelines … during timeouts etc. She cheers for her teammates but doesn’t come across as really being too engaged. Simply my two cents … but factor in Jan’s vanilla comments in the past … including “as of now, she’s on the team….” Seems like a disconnect … and then a “back injury” popped up … and we’ve heard nothing since … doesn’t seem like a player and coach who will be together next year.

Interesting dynamic after the game today. Kylie was hugging everyone but went out of her way to avoid Emely. Didn't see anybody hug her. Thought she might return but she's not a part of this team.
