I know many teams are doing dynamic pricing. I actually hate it. I hate it with airlines and hotels. I know everything in life is supply and demand.......

Scarlet Parking is available for the USC game at a very low price of $301.26 on the Rutgers site.

Best of Luck,

I noticed that too. Wanted to grab a pass for a friend, and even in Yellow, the cost was ridiculous for UMass.

The bare minimum level of giving is $2,500 a year just to get into Scarlet, plus the cost of the pass. Add the total and divide by the number of home games. Then factor in its a B1G home game against a classic name. I am surprised it's not $500.

Wild that we have this many premium parking passes available for every game. Are season tickets and parking down that much?

This is what happens when the season ticket base is too low.
That says more about fence sitting fans than season ticket holders. Power to demand comes in numbers. Right now, we don't have that luxury.
When you treat your season ticket holders like dirt.........
It goes both ways. A lot of fans want the world for free. The school doesn't earn a ton of revenue, so they get creative to increase it.

Just a thought....Maybe, just maybe if they didn't spend so much, they wouldn't need to earn a ton of revenue and long time fans wouldn't be so pissy about these things.
Then those same fans would b*tch about the product on the field. It's a no-win situation. In fact, fan support has dropped as the program was trending up. Rutgers went bowling in '23 and again in '24. Yet going into '25, fan support (season tickets) continued to decrease.

Agree with where you're going here, and I'll add:

- fairly boring product on the field those 2 seasons (and for a long time prior)
- the Illinois loss CRUSHED a lot of "fence sitters" when it came to renewing in '25. Our group - a lonnnng time crew now (oooof, that's scary, lol....), dropped half its season tickets. Those losses to Nebraska and Wisconsin didn't exactly help, either, let's be honest.

‘Going bowling’ isn’t significant when the bowls are around Xmas and 75% of FBS teams make them. Who cares. There are about 40 bowls. A much, much higher percentage of teams make bowls than basketball teams make the NCAAs, NIT and whatever other tourneys there are combined.

You see, this is where the positive assessment of Schiano fails. He’s accomplished virtually nothing of significance. 28% conference winning % tells the story. That shows the only reason he makes bowls, sometimes, is only because there are 20 too many.

You make it sound like teams can make one of these irrelevant bowl games and then their entire roster decides to sit out the game. And then if they lose to a team like Rutgers no one cares except the Schiano fanboys.

Cheese always respects what Shelby brings.

Makes total sense mathmatically but they wouldnt sell many. This way they take the best they can get for a bunch. And btw this is like $50 to 75 higher than it was a minth ago when i tracked them, stub, n geek and purchased all my passes ad hoc across all 3 platforms.

I give them credit for finally selling direct vs. Shopping them out at a discount. But at some point they need to partition those lots giving the folks who donated the fr ont section if them ..Scarlot and Scarlot VIP. (Etc)

And vice versa Cheese. The bowl bar is so low it’s an embarrassment and disgrace for anyone to credit Schiano for getting to one.

I’ve been saying for a long time now my definition of a successful 2.0 was an appearance in what we consider a NYD6 game.

Notice I didn’t say win, just get get there.

It’s why what @AreYouNUTS said earlier about the Illinois game rings true. Many of us were disappointed (and disgusted) because of what a win there meant…a record that hadn’t been achieved since we’ve been in the B1G, a winning conference record (which hasn’t happened yet either) and the possibility, because the the B1G bowl tie-ins and the way they move schools around, a much better bowl date, location and opponent.

problem is, Greg doesn't care about perception per his own words. He's been too comfortable for too long

And this is why he’s a grifter. he’s moved the goalposts so far away from what other programs expect from their HCs that there aren’t any goalposts at all. And so arrogant to boot.

Developmental program, lack of support, new coaches, promised Fieldhouse that isn’t, be patient, etc. More excuses than pigeons on Easton Ave.

Weird how the groveling for money to pay for mid major skill level 20 year olds cars and weed money turned everybody off. It's gross.

Don’t worry, the Rutgers University big shots are finally vertically aligned with Greg’s football program. Just give it a few more years - and few more million each year for Greg’s staff - and Rutgers football will be competing for Big Ten and national championships.

Oh yeah…a few more years sounds right. Isn’t that how long of takes to learn the offense ? B1G Beware !!

Things will really get cooking in year 11 once the HC adds punt returns to the playbook.

Shelby can hardly wait

Less than 7 wins this year and he's going to be feeling uncomfortable

Tate and Zinn didn't come here for 500 records and the "process"

Craping down their legs vs a beatable Kansas St team in that bowl game after those memorable games vs Illinois and UCLA didn’t help fan morale that offseason.

Zinn and Tate don’t “run the program…”

“It’s Schiano’s to lose whenever he feels like leaving.”

He will probably get a statue made for him when he gets to the Hall of Fame Bowl.

Not a statue but that’s a game where we can say 2.0 was a success. As that’s a NYD6, the old Outback Bowl that’s now the ReliaQuest.

That means at the bare minimum an 8-4 record, an above .500 record in the B1G and possibly an upset over a ranked team over the course of the season.

None of those have happened yet.

I was kinda going for a bowl that doesn’t exist anymore. Kinda slipped that the HOF Bowl was probably still around with a different name.
But if that Pinstripe Bowl win got him an unnecessary extension, imagine what a NY6 appearance would give Schiano.

Yes I know there’s different ADs. But as we are constantly reminded here, it’s always his baby until he retires.

As for the OP, supermarkets have dynamic pricing now where they can charge 50% more for bottled water when it hits 95 degrees then reduce it down 30% when the next storm hits. Only place those prices will never go is down.

That is the way of 2026…

If my scenario doesn’t happen, I think we are closer to what @Simce91 says than what others have said.

the Greg crowd conviently leaves out his 2nd half meltdown and 2nd half of the season running the D with the kids he picked

the only people who believe in the guy are people who don't pay attention and don't see 2-10 or the half on this board. not a strong lot
