I thought I read that we were hosting a DT this weekend? If not do we have any visits set?

Likely will hear something relatively soon from these visits one way or the other as I would think transfers want to get themselves lined up for summer over the next few weeks as their schools end semesters.

we have one scholarship spot open..i assume it is for that devon kid
IMO the number of open scholarship spots is becoming less relevant these days to decision making. First, there's portal churning going on all the time so the number of open scholarships really changes all the time. And if you get in a tight spot, you just encourage somebody sitting on the bench to transfer out. Second, if worse comes to worse, why in a NIL world would a a star player even need a scholarship. They can get all the money they want without it.

I'm down with making them pay for their college expenses like everyone else.. an 'athletic' scholarship is kind of a red herring anyway.

Arent scholarship players able to do more ( or do things earlier) in terms of practice and other things with the whole team? That may be one advantage. Plus, why use NIL money on tuition and books when you can use it on cars and TVs.

Can they still enter the portal today and be eligible for next season? I’ve seen speculation we will add three more players, but only have one spot as of right now.

Yes there are some minor advantages but I don't believe they're huge differences. The NIL money can factor in an additional amount for tuition - money is fungible.

Goods may not visit - sounds like the staff have other priorities and he might not have a spot if the other dominos fall as they hope.

So he isn’t Goods to go?
