My nightmare scenario is still Higgins, Jamie Luckie, and Valentine/Shows.

If that happens UK will have 3 fouls on each player before leaving Lexington and 20 points spotted to the other team at tip.

Luckie hates us. Period. Higgins too.
Shows is just an awful ref.
But yes. KU and WVU are no fans of Higgins either. And I can’t think of anyone who’s like Luckie.

Bilas called him the best in the business duke vs iu i think or another very recent game bilas called. shows how terrible bilas is

Nobody posted anything about officiating yesterday because it was a 46 point win. However, Shows was terrible, as usual. I think his purpose in any game he calls is to make as many outrageous calls as possible to draw attention to himself. He will also go to the monitor multiple times, even if he has to invent a reason to go. Other times, especially when things happen right in his face very quickly, I think he has no clue what just happened and he just blows his whistle and makes some kind of call, right or wrong. He seems to freak out at times when the play is fast and close. He can't process it, so he just guesses and acts confident about it.

That last foul on PJ was an example of him getting out of position and trailing the play and not seeing it well enough to make an accurate call. He screwed that one up, too.

If it's any consolation, I don't think his issue is necessarily bias against UK, but it's just incompetence.

The top 5 names that make me cringe when I find out they’re calling our games:

1.) John Higgins
2.) Pat Adams
3.) Doug Sirmons
4.) Jamie Luckie
5.) Doug Shows

Each has their own special brand of awfulness. Luckie moved up the list after that K-State game last year. Complete trash.

I’ve grown to like Shows. I used to hate the guy worse than any other ref. Same with Tony Green. But I think both are two of the better refs in the country, especially Green.

Still hate the Doucheree though.

The good thing about Shows is that you may be the beneficiary of his incompetence at times. As I said above, I don't believe it's a bias against UK, like some. We could just as easily be the beneficiary of his poor calls as we could be the victim. It's a crap shoot.

Funny, because this is my exact opinion about Shows.

Huge Doug Shows a scandals developing.... I have pretty good seats in Rupp and I have noticed he is definitely using Just For Men to dye his hair and cover the grey that was quite dominate over his temples in last years SEC tournament in St Louis. Not sure if we can trust a man that colors his hair.....

Shows and Adams are just bad at their job. Greene I don't mind on our games. Valentine just wants to be seen, not too bad after he's made sure that has happened. Higgins is on the take. He's corrupt and you'll never convince me otherwise. Wouldn't be surprised if Luckey was as well.

I never and I mean never ever want John Higgins to officiate a UK game as long as I live . I used to think Carl Hess was the worst I ever saw just because he was a really bad official , I think Higgins is dirty !!
