Nobody posted anything about officiating yesterday because it was a 46 point win. However, Shows was terrible, as usual. I think his purpose in any game he calls is to make as many outrageous calls as possible to draw attention to himself. He will also go to the monitor multiple times, even if he has to invent a reason to go. Other times, especially when things happen right in his face very quickly, I think he has no clue what just happened and he just blows his whistle and makes some kind of call, right or wrong. He seems to freak out at times when the play is fast and close. He can't process it, so he just guesses and acts confident about it.
That last foul on PJ was an example of him getting out of position and trailing the play and not seeing it well enough to make an accurate call. He screwed that one up, too.
If it's any consolation, I don't think his issue is necessarily bias against UK, but it's just incompetence.
