If we can get Freeman and Goode to replace Mo and Jelly that would be nice. Possibly add Reibe and we cooking.
Should go ahead and bring in the guy from Iowa St that can shoot the leather off the ball to round out these guys. Hearing Duke of course but never know. Need a big time shooter with these guys.
I'm thinking Hawthorne might be what you're looking for. He's usually forgotten because we haven't seen him play, but his movement and aggression already looked good before he added the weight and another year of maturity (and I think grew some too). I'm not saying Hawthorne is Prince, but his game sure gives off that vibe when you watch his videos. And if warmups count, he's a very good 3pt. shooter. I think Hawthorne is going to get written off by most - and I understand, he hasn't played yet - but I'm pretty excited about Hawthorne for next season.

I think you can only get one of Freeman or Goode. Both seem to be good starting PF options. Goode really stood out when I watched him. But it'd be hard to pick between the two. As I suggested in another post, I think I'll be satisfied with Hawthorne as both the PF & SF backup.
Having him on the roster already would be the absolute best case scenario. A good stretch 4 isn't cheap and would allow us to build a stronger bench.
Doubtful .. There's a number of posters who are so invested in their narrative that Pope isn't the guy, nothing will change their mind
Meh, I still doubt Poop. Show me a season better than a 6th place SEC and a S16 and I'll stop doubting.
Stokes is the only real gamebreaker here. You guys creamed your pants over last year's amazing portal additions too.
Worst possible scenario is he eeks out another S16 with a "loaded" roaster. Desirable outcome is either he makes a FF (or close EE loss) or gets fired.
I know you guys are going to be chomping at the bit to get him a year 4 with another 2024-25 type season. Keep UK mired in mediocrity forever.
If pope can pull that off that would spark some life in the Pope Deniers, including my self. But I would still be hesitant until I actually see them play against good competition.
We still need a strong SG.
And if he can't win with that roster, he just can't be here. It's as simple as that.

I think there’s a lot of this from what little I’ve been told by people around lex, evidently they are expecting some big things out of this kid next year.

Five star ranked 10 in his class I believe. Played very well his first year. He would be a nice get.
I think the staff has always had a good eye for who they go after. This issue is getting the players.
I just know even if somehow we land non of the first 5 on our list the second 5 is still such an improvement over last year. There are a ton of portal guys wanting to come here, we have our pick on who we bring out first with plenty more waiting later in the week if necessary. I believe we land several of the initial targets though, sooner than later as well. It will be something to get excited over. Maybe the trolls will go away for the remainder of the offseason.

I think he has the potential to be a very good player. I hope he puts on 20 pounds of muscle. He’s got game and the size to be very good.

@Rainmaker do you think we try for Momcilovic if he stays in college? He seems like the prototypical player Pope should go after for his offense. I know everybody and their mom will want him though.
