I would have guessed that Leon would have played on more session tracks than Glen. Not so. Leon only 400 in his life. GC over 500 in 1963 alone.

Darryl Hall turns 80 on Sunday. I picked a song he wrote alone, no John Oates, neither of the Allen sisters, nor anyone else. Just Darryl Hall.

This song was a minor hit, not a big hit, but I really like it. You know how some songs make you feel like you're going back in time when you hear them? Well this is one that does that to me.

My older siblings had The Rapper on 45 when I was a kid. Then later Donny Iris became a successful solo artist. It was long after that though that I learned he was in The Jaggerz and wrote The Rapper. Great tune.

I know Ah Leah and Love Is Like A Rock were his two biggest hits, and I like those too, but this is the one I like most by him.
