This horrible year is over and I hope Cal can learn some things from it. Player retention and to not leave so many schollys empty since it seems like we will have long injuries every year like the past 3-4 years just to name a few things. I support him because I still think he is the best man for the job, but at the end of the day, I'm a UK fan and want to win. Always have been, always will be.

I think a lot went into this nightmare this year and I'm not making excuses for him I just think it was a perfect storm. However, it exposed some things that need to be fixed ASAP. Now if we have anything close to this year next then it is time to move on.

Get at least 6 guys back and put together a deep roster without any holes. No more one piece away. Whether transfers or Grad transfers, recruits go get the right guys to make a serious run at #9.

Simple question. Yes or no?

When the inmates run the asylum, it’s time for a change. He’s got a huge heart and he really does want to transform the lives of these kids. But this isn’t a social service. If that’s what he wants to do, turn in the keys and go work at Social Services. One and done isn’t the only way to change the lives of these guys. Three or four years of college wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Hmmmm. Do I support the coach with the most Final Fours, Elite Eights and NCAA tournament wins since 2010?

Such a difficult question!

How many of those in the last 6 years. Has the game left him by. I believe the recruiting has, and he has not been a good X and O coach since U Mass. He has depended to much on his recruiting, and almost nothing on his coaching. Can he turn it around, only time will tell.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

Yes.

But I expect a return to national prominence next season. Don’t want 19-11 and sure as hell don’t want whatever this season was.

If we suck again next year, this fanbase will become so toxic he’ll run to the airport to get out of town.

I support Cal. But between one-and-done, the transfer rule, and rampant recruiting violations, I believe that college basketball is FUBAR. If there is a path forward to sustained excellence, it is not at all clear.

No.

He’s been trending down for some time.

He won’t win another title here, nor get to another final four.

Next year’s team will have many of the same issues that this year’s team had.

Fans here enjoy watching the demise of other historically good programs. Well, I don’t believe we’ll ever see the demise of UK. But keep Cal here for years to come, and it becomes a possibility.

What exactly does support mean? Do I want him fired? No. Not now. Do I think what he's doing is fine and he doesn't need to change anything? No. Do I think things will get better? Absolutely, just reversion to the mean should have us substantially better than this. I'm willing to ride with him at least another season or two, and evaluate from there. I'm hopeful it goes well. Guy has won a WHOLE lot in the past, and the mood lately here has ignored how much success he's had both here and before coming here. But the way he's doing things now, years like this are possible. And we can't have another year like this.

I’ll always be a fan no matter who the coach is. I think Cals a good guy but he absolutely has to make some changes moving forward. A season like this one is never acceptable for the University of Kentucky. Sometimes it takes getting your *** kicked to put things into perspective. Hope our coaching staff learns from this and that we never see a season like this again.

Yes and no. I can't forget how great his run was here his first 6 years. It was incredible. So many incredible moments and players.

But he hasn't adapted to the way things have changed. And this year was more stubbornness then anything. His love affair with Boston and Askew. His questionable handling of Allen. His crap substitution patterns.

I don't like this Cal. He treated Allen wrongly all year. Anything was better then Boston and Askew. Took him that damn long to put Mintz at point?

Put Kentucky thru two terrible years and I no longer love Calipari. The shine has wore off and his antics are old now.

Win next year or Get out. Should apologize to all of BBN for this disgrace of a season.

I want Cal as our coach, he will turn this around. I understand the slump and every reason behind it. This season has taught me that you never know what’s going on in practices. You don’t know who’s doing what, and how they are playing. Quit making assumptions and blaming Cal for everything. This team might have quit on him but I know Minks and Jackson bought in and became better players. Even Toppin showed upside and got better. Everyone posting about how Cal can’t put a team together? You all were posting before the season hyping this team up.
