It would be hard to blame Trump, but I am sure some will try.Why not both? Sharpe is terrified of competing and would rather get by on stress-free shootarounds to showcase his supposedly elite generational talent.

Facts Cal is a ****ing loser and as of today I say fire his ***.
Yeah I notice you don't have anything bad to say about the "Fair Weather Fans" bait thread by your butt buddy 1Catmantoo.Wow. Is this the one that got OP banned or muzzled and put on a lengthy detention? What a wild thread.
Cal does deserve some blame for not nipping it in the bud, but I think they were leading him on so he was in a lose lose situation.
I blame the negative nannies on this board always attacking Sharpe and Cal. What player would want to hang around and play for this fanbase after all the abuse he took on this board? Is it now a fact that we took him with the understanding that his "handler" (What the hell kind of BS is that?) says he won't be playing this year? Did Calipari sign on to some scheme like that--that Shaedon wouldn't play this year--just for the publicity? Or, just what was the reasoning--if any--behind all of that? In the throes of a national championship run, how in God's name do you not put "all hands on deck?" Doesn't sound very much like "players first" now does it? If so, why are we doing that kind of sleazy thing? And, doesn't it enter into your brain that in doing all of this, you are jerking around a normally giddy, loyal fan base that would follow the you and the Cats into the gates of Hell?
It really should be quite simple. Calipari is the unmitigated leader of the program and he alone makes the final decision when a kid gets to play, not some quasi-agent, self-designated mentor of some kind of entourage that feels a need to spoon-feed a future millionaire. Calipari recruits the best players he can find to fill appropriate spots on a team, all of whom are expected at some point during their time in college to go to class, play in games, and follow team and NCAA rules. Calipari is employed here at UK to win basketball games. It is noble of him to engage the players in peripheral activities that furthers their academics and teaches them about good values, and he should help in establishing a strong link to their studies and a career, but not to the extent that it compromises the first and foremost objective: win basketball games and championships.
So, yes, absolutely, some blame if not all goes to Coach Calipari. He unfortunately got played on this one, and looks frighteningly naive in the process, or, he unwittingly entered (all of us) into one of the dumbest agreements possible by any coach that gave everything and yielded little or no perceptible benefit to UK. I'm disappointed in him, and now fully understand the reason why someone like Coach Krzyzewski has five championships to his one, and why his record is as lopsided as it is...as you might imagine. It's a mismatch...one guy went to West Point and one guy went to Clarion State...I rest my case. Hate to say it, but it's true.
Are you seriously blaming the fans for Sharpe’s shenanigans?! The kid was leaving the second he stepped foot on campus. Cal should have dismissed Sharpe off the team when his handlers told Cal he wasn’t going to play.I blame the negative nannies on this board always attacking Sharpe and Cal. He's an absolute joke. His circular logic is, When the fans found out Sharpe wasn't going to play, they attacked him and Cal for it. When Sharpe got attacked, he decided he wasn't going to play. Are you seriously blaming the fans for Sharpe’s shenanigans?! The kid was leaving the second he stepped foot on campus. The pumpers have fully taken Cal’s attitude on BBN. Y’all look down on us just like he does.

That is insanely simple; and makes senseanother narrative that might get traction is Cal did all this for Kentucky
that's a great spin
Sharpe's eligibility in question so Cal couldn't play him and risk forfeiting games with a final four capable team.
The issue with this narrative is it would have been very easy just to say "we'll play him when we are convinced we covered all the eligibility issues" and the fan base would have accepted it.
the fanbase would demand that he *not* play Sharpe at that point. Frankly I'm stunned we weren't told that. It would have protected everyone.
but this appears to be a case of creating an alibi post-mortem on the season,
color me highly skeptical.
Yes sir you nailed itWhat kind of sorry *** fans are you people? You fair weather fans are an embarrassment to real UK fans. All of you people can kiss my ***. Find yourselves a new team to ***** and whine about. We don’t need you and we don’t want you. You people are a prime example of why UK basketball fans are the worst fans in the country. You fans are fickle, spoiled, unrealistic, and unappreciative. Nothing’s ever good enough for you idiots.
It's like you just copy and paste this onto every thread. We get it dude, you are Cal Super Fan #1 and everyone else sucks at life. What kind of sorry *** fans are you people? You're kidding, right? You mean you would give me and my opinion that much credit for helping scare away a recruit? I doubt seriously if they would read anyone's opinions on this board and be the least bit affected by them. I would never ever attach that much credit to my own opinion, and wouldn't give that much credit to others in helping anyone with a decision to come here or not. There are too many much more important factors for them to consider. Besides, taken another way, this could very well be a positive sign...a sign of a passionate fan base. Finally, if you think this is anywhere close to the definition of "abuse," you might be undervaluing the true definition of the word. Neither Cal or Sharpe is going out looking to buy a PTSD service animal because people might disagree with them. There is simply nothing wrong with disagreeing with our coach on this and holding him accountable for actions that would appear to add up to making poor decisions affecting our basketball program.I blame the negative nannies on this board always attacking Sharpe and Cal. What player would want to hang around and play for this fanbase after all the abuse he took on this board?
