Dude you're probably getting this Final Four vacated. Would not be coming here gloating if I were you.
Since when do we need an SEC team to win as validation and to make Kentucky look 'better'?I will cheer for Auburn, they are a SEC team, will make Ky look better any team they beat.
Did I dispute they were suspended? Of course not. What Person did was clearly a violation. Both players were suspended by Auburn as soon as it came to light (unlike all the other schools) and then the NCAA reinstated them to play. Our situation is drastically different from the other schools because our players never played when their eligibility was in question and the underlying issue was drastically less severe given that there was no allegation they were paid to sign with Auburn. The allegations don't even compare to LSU, Zona, KU, Creighton, and Oregon who were all trying to buy recruits.Twist it how you want to fit your narrative but Wiley/Purifoy were recruited to Auburn Chuck Person was found guilty of steering them towards that agent and they weren't suspended just for ***** and giggles. Your own school self reported recruiting violations, extra Impermissible benefits on top of the agent based dealing.
I'm correcting the part where you made it look like Person was just trying to get them to leave Auburn early when your own school admitted there was more to the story and self-reported violations in the recruiting process. Don't misconstrue my post. 'Buying' recruits are not the only way to improperly sway recruits to a school.Did I dispute they were suspended? Of course not. What Person did was clearly a violation. Fair enough. Our situation is drastically different from that of the other schools mentioned in the FBI investigation though. We never played anyone who's eligibility was in question (this year or last) and the NCAA cleared our guys to return. Its silly to claim we are going to have to vacate our final 4 appearance given that there is no evidence to suggest that is accurate.I'm correcting the part where you made it look like Person was just trying to get them to leave Auburn early when your own school admitted there was more to the story and self-reported violations in the recruiting process.
